Features

  • Remote Control Connect wifi hose timer and smart hub to the RainPoint Smart+ APP via 2.4 GHz WiFi for easy remote control. Manage watering schedules and view 7-day watering history anytime, ensuring smart irrigation.
  • Dual Programmable Zones Each smart hose timer zone operates independently, allowing for customized watering schedules for each zone. Set up to 6 watering schedules per zone for efficient and intelligent watering.
  • Flexible Irrigation The wifi water timer has two watering modes: irrigation mode (1min-12H) and interval mode (1s-60mins); there are three cycle frequencies to choose from: everyday, day of the week, or every 2-30 day; up to 6 different watering schedules can be set up at the same time for each zone to meet all your watering needs.
  • Rain Delay & Manual Mode Monitor local weather conditions on the app and activate rain delay mode in rainy day to postpone your schedule for 24/48/72 hours to save water. When you need to water temporarily, you can turn on the manual mode (Manual Irrigation Mode or Manual Interval Mode) with one click according to your needs without affecting your set watering schedule.
  • Expandable System Pair multiple smart sprinkler timers with the smart hub to create a smart irrigation system. For system stability, we recommend adding no more than 4 WiFi irrigation timers. In addition, you can add family members to the app to share the fun of irrigation.
  • Voice Control The smart hose timer is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant. Enjoy the convenience of a voice-controlled watering system by controlling the hose timer with simple voice commands.

  • Easy setup -Reliable Performance
I have been using several of previous RainPoint TTV203B (yellow) sprinkler timers for several years with rock solid performance and very long battery lifetime. This new device the HTV210B (green) provides similar hardware but an upgraded Smart+ APP with many new and much needed features such as rain delay and seasonal adjustments which will be really helpful here in Texas where watering needs can change drastically in just one month. The easy to follow quick start instructions indicate that if you have a dual band 2.4/5.8GHz router you need to split them and name them independently. I have a TPLink dual band router with separate band names (SSID’s) and setup and pairing was a breeze and everything worked on first try. The set up procedure took only a few minutes. I have a large ranch with stone and stucco walls and have no signal dropouts as long as the little hub device is placed in an outlet somewhat between the sprinkler timer and my router. Note: the setup screen in the APP allows you to increase the transmitter power if you have range issues but I didn’t need to do that. I do miss a few features from the previous RainPoint Tula APP like the ability to water by volume (# of gallons), the ability to look at the weeks watering history and getting push notifications on my phone when the watering is complete but I was told by RainPoint that the new app is still somewhat under development and to stay tuned. I’ve had sprinkler timers from other brands and they were pretty much destroyed by the hot Texas sun but my RainPoint devices work flawlessly. I am using one zone on the timer to water a 4x8’ raised garden bed and the other zone to water my landscape with multiple drip lines along a 150’ retaining wall (see photos). I’ve been using the product for over a week now with absolutely no issues. I will try and post more details over the next month or so. Overall a great product, with solid customer service at an affordable price. Looking forward to their new moisture sensors to more fully automate my irrigation system. ... show more

  • Control 2 outputs with advanced programming options!
I like to water my yard at night but I don’t like to get out of bed to turn the water on and off. Here’s the solution! Now I can control it from my bed. Best of all, I can pre-set it to run automatically and not even worry about it. The software is quite sophisticated. You can set a program to water at intervals, like every 2nd or 3rd day, or select the days of the week. You can water for a specified period, like 10 minutes, or “mist” mode where you set it to run like 10 seconds on, then 30 seconds off, and repeat. It also has a rain delay feature that lets you postpone watering if it’s raining. Of course, you can activate it manually from the app or by pushing the button on the unit. You can set up different plans for each of the 2 zones, and you can save plans and turn them on and off as you like. For example, you might want to have a winter plan that waters less often and for a shorter time than your summer plan. If you have ever programmed an in-ground sprinkler system, this app works much the same way. The set comes nicely packaged and includes spare washers and filters, and a roll of silicone tape to make a good seal. The faucet connection is brass, not plastic. Only frustrations: 1. The Bluetooth connection drops a lot, and I don’t think it will work when not connected. I don’t understand why it needs Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a hub to operate. 2. I was not able to connect to Alexa - Alexa couldn’t find the device. Still, overall, this is a high end device and I like it! UPDATE: I called customer service and a very helpful person helped me fix the Bluetooth problem. She walked me through setup and it was fixed in 6 minutes! It turns out it can run over Bluetooth OR Wifi but it does not require both. Wifi is preferred as it has a longer range. ... show more

  • Works well, but not the same app as 'Yellow controllers"..
Product works well, but I confess I was expecting it to use the same app as the other RainPoint devices (the yellow ones). These use the RainPoint "Smart" app so I need both apps to run the two types of controller. As for comparison, they both work well, the main differences are in the scheduling (old app does days of the week and the new app does "every 1, 2, or 3 days, or "customize" which allows for days-of-the-week), the irrigation type (old supports time and/or volume and the new is time-only), and the 'rain delay' (which I haven't quite figured out yet due to limited time and it hasn't really rained since I got it). Once I figured out I needed a separate app, the setup was easy. Operation has been good. Having only a timer function has been good enough, but it's good to test it out when you lay everything out, just to make sure you're applying the moisture you want/need in each area - plants have different moisture needs so it's helpful to have multiple units. Depending on the distribution system you use, the amount of water/minute can vary widely, so it takes a bit of a hobbyist approach - once done though, take your trip, no need to have somebody come by to water every day.. On the same idea, I especially like using these to stagger the watering pattern to make sure I have decent pressure for each section and am not starving the rest of the property. I decided to run only a single 1/2" supply line out to the gardens, and with a few of these I can set up individual watering areas of 45-80 ft2 at a time - that gives me enough pressure to do drippers, soakers, or sprinklers to suit different crops in different areas. Adds time to the setup but greatly reduces the maintenance through the year. ... show more
