  • A new must have for me on long rides
The media could not be loaded. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I used to put way to much mental energy into the directions of where I'm going on a trip. Phone holders were ok to have GPS up, but the battery goes dead and then your stuck. This giving constant power solves all those issues and makes for a more enjoyable ride. I bought other powered holders but not all have the flexibility of unplugging at the unit so that it can be cleanly removed when not in use. I also REALLY LOVE the short swivel base (sold separately) because it not only allows me to adjust the phone position, but it is a quick removal of the power unit without needing a tool on hand (see video) - in 10 seconds I can have the unit mounted or removed to lock it in my bags. I also like the power cable (sold separately) that allows you to set to on "auto" that automatically turns off the power when your bike is off and your battery gets to a certain point. You can turn the unit off with the switch on the unit, but if you forget, this power line is a nice backup. It's also nice that the unit has an LED indicator of whether it's on or off. Its just a really well built and well thought-out Product. In my comprehensive search, I did not find another one better for me. Installing is pretty straightforward, but it does take some mechanical sense and disassembly of the bike to connect to the battery and run the wire, so If you aren't comfortable with partially taking apart your bike, this is not a simple plug and play in most cases to cleanly install it. ... show more

  • Works Great on Motorcycles
Works as advertised. Charges the phone wirelessly without having to attach a usb cable directly to the phone. I recommend using the shock mount accessory with this to minimize vibration if that is an issue. The usb cable could be a little longer, but it’s long enough to reach from the rear of my motorcycle to my handlebar. ... show more

  • Worth every penny.
Been using quadlock for years on my motorcycle. Only regret is not buying this and the usb charging kit sooner. This thing is amazing and an absolute necessity for longer rides. Charges my s22 ultra with no issues.

  • Expensive, But Works with my iPhone SE
I wasn't sure if this would work with my phone, but it charges my iPhone SE 3rd-gen just fine. I have it mounted on a Quad Lock anti-vibration mount, mounted to a Quad Lock handlebar mount on my 890 Adventure. It all works together really well. Installation is just replacing a single screw on an existing mount. I haven't hard-wired it yet. For now I'm just using a dual 20W USB-C adapter in the 12V socket on the bike's console (the other one powers an X3 in loop mode for a "dash-cam"). I've still got the USB-A plug built in to the console free if I need to power something else. If its going to rain, I just unplug the cables and cap them with the little plastic protective caps that come on most new cables since they're all zip-tied in place, then I stow the adapter in a little zip-lock bag in my jacket. Since the USB-C socket under the Quad Lock charging base does have an extended hard plastic sleeve to keep rain out, I went ahead and used heat-shrink on my USB-C cable and that extension to make sure no water gets in. Obviously, I leave that end plugged in. I imagine a little electrical tape would work as well. I don't like the price of Quad Lock gear, but, honestly, there really isn't anything else out there like it that is high quality. So, for now, I'm willing to pay the inflated prices for convenience. ... show more

  • Works as Advertised
I ride a motorcycle and like to take long trips. This keeps my Iphone charged while I am using my Apple Car Play. No need to plug in at night when it is charging while I ride. Love this product and phone mount system.

  • Worked for just over a month unfortunately
It was a great product in concept. Unfortunately did not last a month in south Florida rain. It would work intermittently until it stopped all together. I decided to remove the five screws it inspect it further since I run a tech repair shop. Needless to say, as soon as I opened it slightly water dripped out. The small gasket in the inside didn’t hold up in keeping the rain out, but it did help keep it in the device. I plan on trying to salvage the unit since I’m out of the replacement window and I’d rather not have a $80 paperweight. Update: Thankfully I was able to restore the unit fully. ... show more
