This is actually our 3rd Jura machine in last 20 years. Our first was while living in Europe and we only sold that one because voltage in the US is different. Our second machine lasted for 16 years. They would have serviced it but couldn't guarantee they would have the parts for the obsolete machine so we elected to buy a new one. This machine is very, very easy to program (way easier than our first 2!), looks great, grinds the beans more quietly than the last one, and makes delicious coffee! You usually get what you pay for and wow do you get a lot in this admittedly expensive machine. Each cup tastes perfect, depending on the quality of the beans you use. This is European style and design and functionality at its best. One tip - if you are making cappuccinos, buy the glass Jura milk cup for $30, it's worth it, and put the milk in the microwave first for 30 seconds. I am extremely disappointed with the Jura coffee machine. For the high price, I expected top-notch performance and reliability. Unfortunately, it falls short in both areas. The coffee quality is mediocre at best, and I often encounter issues with inconsistent brewing and mechanical problems. In comparison, my DeLonghi capsule machine delivers much better results with every cup. The coffee is consistently rich and flavorful, and the machine is far more reliable. Given the significant price difference, the DeLonghi offers superior value and performance. I regret purchasing the Jura and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable and high-quality coffee machine. ... show more

Easy to set up and take care of and the taste is fantastic. Keurig tastes like dirty water compared to what this machine produces. If you love coffee, this machine is worth the investment.

Machine was delivered with the defective display. Calling Jura for warranty, I discovered that only one place in US does warranty and it is 4k miles away. Maintenance unfriendly construction makes it difficult to open and clean.

This is a great high volume machine. It holds a lot of coffee and water. What I dont like, but I suppose is necessary, is the constant rinsing. It self rinses when you turn it on, off, 10 min after each milk drink, etc. Dont make a cup and leave it sit! You'll get rinse water in it. It makes great coffee. I got the milk chiller add on. Some people complained about the temp, just let it warm up a few minutes prior to using. ... show more

Great machine with one issue. There is a water fill sensor that is not mentioned anywhere in the manual. After six months of use, it would not dispense any coffee. I called Jura and after several calls and long waits, a customer service rep finally solved the issue. You'll need to stick your hand into the drip tray area and clean the "hammer" that pacts the coffee grinds with a towel. I guess that's where the sensor was and once I cleaned that area, it dispenses coffee just like it did before. ... show more

We had a Gaggia Academia coffee maker for years and sent it back for multiple repairs at moderate expense. So far the Jura has been very very good. The coffee is exceptional and we have not had any repair issues although it is early. At this point we would highly recommend this band and model.
