    • When They Say Heavy Duty - They Mean It

I specifically ordered the heavy duty handles because no matter how old my son is, he is still rough on a door handle! I didn't really look at them closely, before my handyman went ahead and installed the pieces. They are definitely there for the long haul. However, we also have a family member with severe arthritis and they may just be a little too heavy for him to open easily. That was the reason for getting the lever handle as opposed to the knob. It is much easier to negotiate a lever when your fingers are not working than to try and grasp a round knob. These levers are thick and require a tad more strength to push down on them. But that is MY PROBLEM. They may be perfect for what YOU are looking for. Well made, easy to install - I think they were well worth the price. Quick shipping too. *Might I remind you that if you are changing your door knob color to black - remember to change the hinges to match - it makes all the difference !!!!! ... show more
