  • It is not defective!
Color: Gold Size: 12"x10"
The media could not be loaded. I had a difficult time figuring out how to make adjustments at first and saw others had a similar experience so I made this video to show you all how it is done. Press on heat/time for 2 seconds and the adjustments will appear. Simple and easy! I do on-site screen printing using water-based inks and got this portable heat press to use in place of sending people home with instructions on how to cure the inks themselves. This works great for what I needed it for! The image I included is a test print, not vinyl. ... show more

  • Works just as great as the cricut heat press
Color: Gold Size: 12"x10"
Just finished doing 14 shirts. Works just as well as my cricuit heat press. I haven't had any of the other problems that other people had in the reviews. Shirts don't smell anymore than they did before. (It could be these people aren't using parchment paper between the iron and the heat transfer vinyl). Heats evenly. I dont have any vinyl thats peeling. We'll see if it still behaves the same after a few months. ... show more

  • Poor experience and results - don't waste your money
Color: Gold Size: 12"x10"
There were several issues I experienced when using my PowerPress. It does not heat evenly. I discovered this after completing a project. The part of the iron-on in the middle of the project wrinkled or lifted after pressing. I re-pressed the project and ended up burning the outside edges of the project. I decided to measure the heat across the plate and there is a several degree difference between the middle of the plate and the outside edges of the plate. I washed my shirt one time and some of the edges rolled up. Obviously the glue on the iron-on didn't get hot enough to bond with the shirt material even though I pressed it twice!! Be careful when applying pressure. The start button is right on the handle and I ended up accidentally hitting the button and restarting my time when I applied pressure. The press seems to give a little bit which I'm sure is due to the springs but it doesn't seem to give evenly. I have to be very careful to make sure that I'm applying pressure evenly. Otherwise the other sides of the press don't go down and that might be why the iron-on is coming off my shirt. It didn't get an even press. Another thing that's concerning is that there isn't an auto shut off. I left my craft area to deal with something else and forgot I left it on. It was still on 2 hours later and the table was really hot! Bottom line, don't waste your money. ... show more

  • Just buy the name brand one!
Color: Gold Size: 12"x10"
You know quite often you purchase an item believing you will get similar quality. In this case this is no where near a replacement or comparable to the cricut easy press. Spend the extra money for the easy press to avoid the disaster we have experienced. Where do we start? We received the item in the mail and it arrived with a scratch on the bottom of the plate and a hole on the right side of the press in the metal. I believe these were both manufacturer defects as the item was well packaged. Next we go to plug it in and notice that our lights start to flicker. After some googling we find out that heat presses draw a lot of power and if you have other devices on that same line it can cause flickering or a potential fire due to an overload. This information should be available on the sellers page and the actual product. The full wattage as well as warning individuals about potential overloads as this is a liability and a hazard. Contacted Amazon and there was no effective resolution to these issues. At this point we are just stuck with it. Listen to the negative reviews here. Don’t just skip them and think that they were just isolated incidents. They are not. ... show more

  • Does the job
Color: Gold Size: 12"x10"
CONTEXT I decided to start making block print shirts to sell without knowing exactly what I needed. I learned I needed to heat set my prints so I found this one (because the heavy-duty/commercial ones on Amazon had terrible reviews). PROS - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS and it will be easy to use! It's really intuitive once you read the instructions, otherwise, it can be confusing. - It's nice to be able to just set it on my shirt and turn my mind off for a few seconds until it beeps, LOL - The gold color I got matches my branding perfectly (major plus) - The heat plate is quite large, which is nice because you don't have to go over two parts (unless your design is massive) - It comes with a pad to put under your shirt/product, which I love! Don't have to worry about heating up my couch or table, etcetera. It also comes with a heat-safe base for the press that can be used while it's hot! CONS - It takes FOREVER to heat up. It goes really quick until about 200 and then it goes super slow after that. The closer it gets to 340 (F) the slower it goes. NOT ideal. - Once it does heat up and I use it, the temperature goes BACK DOWN! And then I get the "H" which indicates that it is heating up. It's the strangest thing (and is kind of annoying), but oh well? - The safety base I mentioned as a pro is also a con because it gets REALLY HOT so you can't really touch it. Therefore, I recommend making sure you have it in a good spot before you begin pressing your shirts. OVERALL I do like this press and think it is perfect for what I need right now! I recommend it to anyone who is heat pressing shirts/products personally, or if you are just starting to dabble into making shirts commercially. ... show more
