Pics speak for themselves. Didn't take much effort to get the grout clean. My only complaint is that the bristles on the grout attachment bent almost immediately after first use but it still got the job done. No other cleaners were used to clean the grout.

My sister referred this product to me after trying to find something to help keep her place clean and allergen-free for her children that started to develop allergies not only does this help and make things easier for her to clean she has used this product in ways that I never thought I would use them in, for instance, the mop attachment she uses to get to the top of her finished cupboards. My cupboards are not finished so I need to be a bit careful, But I use the steam to spray a light mist or steam a light mist of hot water on the cupboard and then use the microfiber pad to just gently wipe it away as opposed to applying the unit close to the unsealed and I'm finished painted cupboards that I have. I did not buy this for my cupboards though I purchased this to clean the tile on my kitchen counters and I am absolutely amazed at the job that this did my kitchen looks brand new not only does it look new it smells good and part of having an old house is trying to get rid of all smells and as I have worked meticulously through my house on a daily basis the Basic smell of the home as you come in is not as musty which is really great because normally when I have clean my carpets with vinegar and windows with vinegar it smells clean after two or three days but you have to smell vinegar for two or three days and with the steam cleaner I've used it on the windows I've used in the tub on the kitchen counters on the kitchen floor and even started using it To spot treat my carpet and then begin working on small sections of my carpet at a time and places where there has been dogs smell from accidents I put my nose right next to the carpet to smell it after two or three days and the smell is all but diminished now these are not saturated pet stains but my little dog had an accident I got majority Of the year and up right away but no matter what cleaners are used it's still had a faint odor if I would put my nose next to it and smell the spot but this unit has helped clean those areas to where there's hardly any smell at all. I can only use it for about an hour or so at a time if I am doing things that are chest height or shoulder height as my arm does get tired after a while from holding the unit but I like the weight of it so that I don't press too hard or scrub too hard on things that are not finished So it is a nice reminder in my old house to be gentle. However, it would be nice to be able to use it for more than just an hour at a time based on my limitations. This unit heats up extremely fast and is one of the key points that I like about it you open the top of the water and away you go and no matter what angle you have the unit even upside down this unit will still extract water needs to create the steam it is an excellent unit and I recommend it to everyone ... show more

    • Cleaned my grout beautifully!!!!!!

After I got this I read some bad reviews. I cleaned my grout on my hands and knees years ago. It was really dark and should be a dove grey. Today, I put the grout cleaner on the unit, not the extension wand. Got on the floor and cleaned. It worked!!! I am a lung cancer survivor am suppose to stay away from chemicals. Oh yes, and I tried cleaning cleaning a few weeks ago with vinegar and baking soda and a couple of different brushes. After an hour I had bad results on 12 tiles. So I am very happy, as I did my entire bath floor in less time and it is beautiful. ... show more

Seems to do a good job cleaning my floors. I don't know if it does it better or worse than the competition. I don't like the fact that there's no trigger lock so I have to hold the trigger all the time while cleaning tyhe floors. Single button push to select steam level. Then a trigger pull and your own your way. Cleans everywhere with the included attachments. Wont make you regret your purchase. Only pushing you need to do is to move it over the spots that need cleaned. Then steam the crap outa it. Water last a clean or two, which is good for desert dwellers like me. This product is decent for its price, but I don't exorcism it to last long term. There are definitely some improvements that can be made to make it a bit more user-friendly too. First of all, I'll start with the pros. I love that it came with so many attachments. It was easy to assemble, and it's easy to use. There are two different steam settings for lighter or heavier duty jobs. This one product can be used in so many different applications around the home. It also heats up within less than a minute, so even if you have to refill, you don't have to wait long to get back to work. Steam cleaning has made a lot of tasks around the home a lot easier than other methods. The wall mount, accessory attachment, and mesh bag all help keep everything together when not it use. After using the covers, they are easy to just hand wash in the sink with a bit of dawn soap. Now the downsides. The very first time I used the grout tool, the bristles melted away to nothing. 😕 Bissell customer service was very helpful and immediately sent me a replacement at no cost to me, but I've been hesitant to use it again, afraid to have the same result. I have only had the device for a few months and I use it once or twice weekly, yet it is already starting to feel like the pole is wiggling/no longer stable. I'm worried the pole will not last the year. Another issue I have with it is that it seems to put out a lot more liquid than other steamers I've used, regardless of which setting I'm using. When using the steamer on windows or wood, I feel like I always have to go back with either paper towels or a dry cloth and wipe up the excess moisture to pevent streaks or swelling. That's a bit inconvenient. Another minor issue is that you must constantly hold down the button in order to have the device produce steam. It might not seem like that big of a deal, but when you are cleaning an entire room, your hands start to get pretty fatigued after a while. I realize it is likely a saftey setting, but I do wish there was a way to set it for constant steam during some applications. The smaller attachments are nice, but as mentioned above, the grout tool melted with the first use. Now I'm a little apprehensive about using the other brush heads for very long. Another thing with them is that there are times when you are using a scrubbing motion and they can twist themselves loose. I've accidentally burned myself a couple of times not thinking and just grabbing at the attachment to adjust it back into place whike it's still hot. I realize that's user error. I just wish they stayed on more securely during use, so that they don't come off with normal cleaning motions. One feature I've seen others complain about is that the cord doesn't retract. This doesn't actually bother me. I love the long, sturdy cord. I have been able to get around an entire room without moving outlets. I wind the cord around my arm and use the velcro strap that came with it to secure it in a loop when I'm finished. I don't really see it as that big of a deal. All in all, I don't HATE the item, but I probably wouldn't buy it again. It is good for the price and still has plenty of good features. I just personally would rather have a steamer that I felt would last a few years without my worrying about different parts malfunctioning.
