Style: Steam Pickup
This is my first vac/mop combo. I have used a steam mop for years and I am sold on the power of steam. However the pads always seem to stir up a bunch of stuff that needs vacuuming. I saw the shark 3 in 1 steam pickup on the Just a Dad channel and was impressed with the effectiveness and simplicity, not to mention the low price point. My experience it's lightweight builds up steam quickly, very effective at removing stuck on stains and picking up debris. Certainly has a limit to how much it can pick up with the relatively small collection tray, but it has made me reevaluate how important suction is vs head construction on a vacuum. This thing does not use suction but I would be hard pressed to say it doesn't pick up everything a normal vacuum would plus mopping the floor. The cons, since it doesn't suction it leaves the floor pretty wet especially if you have to work over a spot for a bit. It will pick up spills milk, water etc. but it is not going to dry out the floor a whole lot. Just leaves it clean and wet. If you want steam you are going to have a cord and I think this is an excellent choice. It certainly is nice not having to buy a bunch of proprietary solutions, just water. If you give up steam something cordless may be a little more convenient, although cleaning this thing is super quick and easy, the dirty stuff is all confined to three easy to access and sink wash components. And the cord is long and really only adds the time to plug in and wrap up. Last thought if you have a flooring type that is sensitive to heat or water ie. Some types of lvp, linoleum, or hard wood anything not sealed, you may want to be careful with this it is both hot and wet. Maybe something that vacuums and stays cold will keep your floor dryer and prevent warping or loosening glue. ... show more

I've been looking for a steam cleaner for my hardwood floors for a while before buying this one. I works very well and is very easy to use. I really like the rotating scrubbing pads, not only do they make the unit easy to move they do a great job cleaning and making the floors shine.

I was anxious to see how well this steam vacuum worked. I had new laminated hard wood flooring, in a remodeled project, that had been swept just once to get nails and larger debris left by carpenters. This steam/vac was easy to assemble and use. It does a remarkable job and does the sweeping, vacuuming and moping in one motion. The only thing I could wish more is the tray, catching the dirt and small debris, and the water tank was a bit larger. I definitely recommend you at least try it. We had an older model Shark Steam Mop (rectangular mop head with slip on covers) that I loved for many years. It is still working and now is our basement mop, but I bought this when a coworker was raving about a similar spin steamer she had bought from another brand. The thing I love about the Shark mops is the ability to clean without chemicals, so when I saw they had a newer model that had the spin feature she was describing, I decided to get one. I've had this for awhile now and it does a great job. My two very minor complaints are 1) because the cleaning pads are round, you're not going to effectively get all the way into corners and 2) it's kind of a pain that the pads have to be washed without fabric softener as they end up being one of maybe three items in a very, very tiny wash load. I have a 1 years old and 3 year old and I needed something quick, easy, and safe to clean up after messy babies daily. This works amazing and the noise isn’t loud at all. Just a whirring noise but it’s actually soothing (for me at least) it’s incredible light weight! Easy to put away. I like the ease of it and it definitely picks up the messes quickly! I waited so long to get this item, and I ended up buying it during a Black Friday sale. I have ferrets, which are very sensitive to chemicals and cleaning products, so feeling like my tile floors are clean when I can't use a lot of disinfectant items is impossible. Here comes the Shark Steam Mop, and not only does the tile floor squeak, but it also looks new, and it gets rid of any lingering ferret smells. I will say that the water container is small, so it takes about three refills to clean my entire tiled house. The cord is also incredibly short and I need three outlets just to clean the floor in one room. It will leave the floor warm, and it easily does all the scrubbing for you if you go over the same spot a few times. This thing was a great purchase. I love it to much! ... show more

Love this Quick, easy... love the steam burst in front that is great for targeting dirt and grout. I bought this because I have ceramic tile... the burst of steam gets between the tiles helps clean the stubborn grout. There is no suction to pull up the dirty water so this is best for quick cleaning... because dirty water is spread not removed. Super easy to remove mop head rinse and put back on It glides super easy across my tile floors making quick mopping jobs fast and convenient between deep cleaning. For deep cleaning I use my other electric mop that pulls the dirty water out. It's far more time consuming, not as convenient for large areas that just need a fast mop. ... show more

We tried out this vacuum/steamer today and we’re quite impressed. It quickly heats the water to steam and there’s plenty of steam for cleaning power. The water bottle is somewhat on the small side so you’ll need to stop and refill fairly often for a large area. Having a built-in vacuum helps make easy work of a clean up. Cleanup afterwards is a little tedious but not bad. The floor will be wet after steaming so be sure to have mop-up rags handy to speed the drying process.
