This fan is terrific for wearing outside on a hot and/or humid day! I was really concerned about it catching my hair but even when I hear the tips in the fan, it doesn't tangle or jam the fan. It fits easily around my neck and has three speeds. It's easy to charge and it really does make it easier to walk when the air is almost chewable. The first speed is very quiet but can still be felt. I tend to keep it on the second speed for the air pressure and the volume. The third speed really is a blast but tends to be a little loud, makes it hard to hear someone walking next to you. This works as I expected based on reviews here and from The Wirecutter, where it’s the top pick. I found the middle of the 3 speed settings the most comfortable without being too loud. Pros: it provides good cooling for my neck and face and helps all of me feel cool. The middle setting in particular is a good compromise between cooling and not being too loud. It lasts most of the day at thst setting before needing to recharge. Since I often work with a fan in me and my large screen tablet blocks thst fan from reaching my face and neck, this is a good addition to my arsenal of cooling products and it allows me to keep working, not needing me to hold it as my handheld misting fan does. Cons: it’s fairly heavy and would,be annoying around my neck if I were being active, rubbing my neck if I am doing more vigorous housework. I’d still use it but it would irritate. The highest speed is fairly noisy and it can be heard in a call or onscreen meeting. It also dries my eyes out, something I hadn’t considered when I bought it and as I wear contacts this is irritating. It also takes a long time to recharge, hours longer than I expected. I was expecting to take about 2 hours or less and it took about 7 hours. I’d buy it again with those caveats given that I don’t have air conditioning but it does have drawbacks. ... show more

This product has a really strong output from the fan, and will help keep you cool. Also battery time is long lasting. We used it all summer at soccer games and it only needed charging once so far. I got this for my husband, thinking it would help him when he's outside mowing the yard, weed eating, something like that. We are in South Florida, where it is very hot and humid. He seemed excited about it and when he turned it on, we could barely hear it. So it definitely is quiet. He put it on and said he could feel a difference right away in the temp. Then he went outside. After about 45 minutes outside, he came back in the house and said that it wasn't worth it. He said if he was in a position where he was seated or pretty stagnant, and there was no air movement, he could see how it would work. But when he was outside, moving around, the cold air that it should blow on him would not stay on him. The slightest breeze would carry that cold air away. I would return it, but he's already sweat on it and got some dirt on it. He said he might try it inside the house for indoor projects, but I have a feeling it will sit on a shelf and collect dust. ... show more

Wanted a neck fan for a trip to a very hot humid location. A friend recommended this one and it was just what I needed. It is good looking, smooth design and does job designed to do. . It was more powerful at slow speed than the others I tried at high. The airflow and cooling woosh of this fan was outstanding due to all the extra air vents around the neck. Comes in many more color choices compared to similar on Amazon. Unfortunately, I had to return despite being exactly what I wanted due to the sound of the powerful fan. I needed it for a conference and was afraid the sound of the fan would be inappropriate in quiet meeting. The only thing I don’t like about it Is that it only blows on part of the back of my neck, on the sides, but obviously not at all in front. But using this WITH A neck cooling ring keeps me much cooler at work then I had been, and definitely more comfortable. Perform well, charge less quite a while, Very portable, and very easy to use.
