This fan is terrific for wearing outside on a hot and/or humid day! I was really concerned about it catching my hair but even when I hear the tips in the fan, it doesn't tangle or jam the fan. It fits easily around my neck and has three speeds. It's easy to charge and it really does make it easier to walk when the air is almost chewable. The first speed is very quiet but can still be felt. I tend to keep it on the second speed for the air pressure and the volume. The third speed really is a blast but tends to be a little loud, makes it hard to hear someone walking next to you. This works as I expected based on reviews here and from The Wirecutter, where it’s the top pick. I found the middle of the 3 speed settings the most comfortable without being too loud. Pros: it provides good cooling for my neck and face and helps all of me feel cool. The middle setting in particular is a good compromise between cooling and not being too loud. It lasts most of the day at thst setting before needing to recharge. Since I often work with a fan in me and my large screen tablet blocks thst fan from reaching my face and neck, this is a good addition to my arsenal of cooling products and it allows me to keep working, not needing me to hold it as my handheld misting fan does. Cons: it’s fairly heavy and would,be annoying around my neck if I were being active, rubbing my neck if I am doing more vigorous housework. I’d still use it but it would irritate. The highest speed is fairly noisy and it can be heard in a call or onscreen meeting. It also dries my eyes out, something I hadn’t considered when I bought it and as I wear contacts this is irritating. It also takes a long time to recharge, hours longer than I expected. I was expecting to take about 2 hours or less and it took about 7 hours. I’d buy it again with those caveats given that I don’t have air conditioning but it does have drawbacks. ... show more

It does an ok job for the price. Personally, I always keep it on the highest setting and the battery seems to last fine somehow. But the only way I feel an ounce of coolness is if I have it on the highest setting. It’s light weight, but it’s not unnoticeable. You could definitely wear it all day though. I wouldn’t say it’s comfy because it doesn’t have any comfort materials for sitting on your neck- it’s plastic. But the overall look of it is pretty sleek. I bought it in the white and it goes with everything. The quality seems alright but the fan I wouldn’t say is high powered by any means. Better than nothing though. I think I would pay a little bit more for a high powered fan- but I haven’t tested any others in the market, so can’t really speak on how it compares to others. ... show more

I have POTS and needed something to keep me cool while I was outside in the heat all day long, as I have temperature sensitivity. Having this on my neck the whole day really made a deference. Being able to keep cool, hands free, where it was light enough to make me forget it was on, was amazing. The fan is lightweight, not noisy on the lowest setting and there is a right and wrong way to place it around your neck. The fan wasn't marked with either an L or an R or and up or a down that I could tell but I figured it out from the pictures. Inside, where it's already cool, this is perfect so I can see hair stylists, pet groomers, front desk workers, etc using this fan for a little extra relief from personal tropical moments. However, if you work outside like construction workers, dog walkers, landscapers, etc it will not do much if it's hot & humid. I used it to walk the pup around the block yesterday afternoon when it was hot AF (quick potty walk for the pup and we stuck to the grass areas) it didn't really work. I couldn't feel the fans on the sides working like they had indoors and ones around the neck slightly cooled at the highest setting which means you cannot speak to anyone that you may be walking with or come across. For the price, it's not bad but definitely don't expect to be cooled if this is to be used on a hot, outside, day. I was hoping it would be good to use outdoors but I do have places that I can use this indoors where I need a bit more comfort cooling. ... show more
