I have tired multiple different phone mounts in my car that attach to the cars vents. This one is by far the best. It stays on and does not fall off. It's easy to slide your phone in and out. I highly recommend. Note: this phone mount must be used with a popsocket. I had the adhesive PopSocket mount in my old vehicle and it worked great, but my new car doesn't have a good location to put one. I was hesitant to get the vent mount because it just doesn't seem like plastic air vent flaps would be stable enough to hold a phone steady, especially since I have a large/heavy iPhone 13 Pro Max. It's not quite as stable as an adhesive mount secured to a flat surface, but I was pleasantly surprised with how little the phone moves around, and how secure it actually seems to be. I put the mount on the very top slat of the air vent so that it's stabilized by the top wall of the vent, and it has worked very well so far. I don't drive on gravel roads much, but have definitely hit a few potholes already and it didn't budge. If you have a good location to put an adhesive mount I would still recommend going that route, but if not, this is a very good alternative. Solid product. ... show more

I am SO happy with this purchase and wish I got it sooner! I used to have the adhesive phone mount but it eventually fell off which is why I wanted to try this version out. I was nervous it might not be strong enough because most vent mounted products I’ve used fall often but this is not budged AT ALL since putting it in my air vent! I love the aesthetic of this mount, however my phone doesn’t sit up right in it because it seems to be too heavy and it makes the vents drop down. Also when I’m taking corners my phone will occasionally fly out of it. It works well most of the time though. :)

The positive reviews helped me take the chance though and I'm very glad I did. This was surprisingly sturdy. I liked this when I first got it, but that only lasted for a week. No matter how I placed it in my vent, it wouldn't stay in. Whenever I put my phone on it, the stand would slide to the end of the vent and my phone would start facing down and I wouldn't be able to see the screen while using the GPS. I have been wanting one of these for a long time as I am a long time Pop Socket user. Their is no good spot to stick a permanent phone holder in my car so this seemed perfect. I was super excited to try it out, but no matter how I try to hook it to my vents it either won't adhere at all or when I can get it to hold on it falls right out when you put a phone on it. If I put it above the lever that adjusts my vent air it will stay for a few seconds, but even then my phone flops downward and leans against the dash panel so you cannot even see the screen or use it at all. I followed the directions and even watched several videos of other people using it. It says it fits all vent types, but I tried it on both vertical and horizontal vent fins. I twisted it to try both fin size holders on the grip, it just made it fall out easier. I have no idea how anyone got this to stay in their vent at all! I love the idea, but unless I'm missing something, this only works if you have the perfect car vents. ... show more

I haven't driven with it yet but I'm giving the holder itself a 5 because it was easy to install, and so far my phone fits in it very securely. The problems I'm having are; #1 with the AC running my phone can't hear voice commands. #2 my phone is blocking the vent. Obviously, it knew it would but it bothers me more than I thought. And, #3 I'm a little concerned with how hot it will get with the heat on. ... show more
