  • EXPENSIVE BUT A VERY GOOD PRODUCT
This robotic cleaner is a very good product and is easy to use, especially with the iOS control that connects through the Aqualink APP. It tackled our pool that had been through hell with a battering by Hurricane Ian this past September 2022. IT has helped the pool greatly and makes it a breeze to clean the pool including the vertical wall surfaces and the hard to get areas as well. It was expensive, but it does everything one could want and is easy to program and the Aqualink App use interface is very user friendly and intuitive. Overall, some of the slightly cheaper products may do a decent job, but the extra features and the small particles this Robot can clean and keep locked into the fine particle bag. We get a lot of Pollen all year in South Florida and little tiny Noseeums and other assorted maladies and nuisances that get into the pool and make cleaning it very difficult. Polaris has done a great job here in making this Robot Trooper that never tires of the nasty job of cleaning the nastiest areas of the pool. ... show more

  • Exceeded my expectations
So glad I decided on a plug in vs battery power. I have a huge pool that a battery unit would never be able to clean in one charge. I put the unit in and set it for 3.5 hours (the max). When time is up I just start it again for another 3.5 hours. I can sit inside the house and use the remote control, really handy after storms when the temperature is below freezing. That’s another bonus I had never thought of when shopping for a robotic pool cleaner. I’m in North Texas where we are having a couple of weeks of really cold weather. I drained the pumps, filter etc. to avoid freeze damage, but I can still put the Polaris robot in to clean. Just store in the garage when it’s finished like I always do. The lift system is simple to use and the rolling cart easy to move. Picks up dirt, leaves and pine needles. ... show more

  • Keeps losing connection - mobile app not good
This is the latest and greatest model that uses a mobile app to control. Works ok but paid more for the convenience of mobile. Had for two days and each days loses connection and had to delete and add back. I’m a technologist and my router is literally 15 feet from the unit so this isn’t user error. Think it’s not ready for prime time. Called support and waited for 30 minutes and kept telling me wait was longer than 20 minutes - uhm ok so that’s not great. Emailed support and no response after 3 days. Will give it one more shot and box the whole thing up and send back. Nothing worse than tech that is oversold and l doesn’t work in the real world. Polaris if you don’t want a unit you will have to resell, slide into my DMs. This thing ain’t working and is coming back ... show more

  • Great Pool sweep
I bought this brand previously and was extremely happy with it. Now I moved and have another pool. So I needed another pool sweeper. I ordered the same brand and once again I am delighted with the results. It cleans the bottom and the sides easily. The equipment is simple to set up and I can't say anything negative. Even the pool person compliments on how clean the pool is whenever he comes. It is a little more expensive but it is worth every penny. ... show more

  • Does OK, a bit expensive
Does a decent job cleaning my pool. The phone link is not the greatest but makes lifting the machine out of the water a little easier than a less expensive model I owned for numerous years. It came with a remote that never worked. However, the less expensive one could climb the stairs and clean the upper surface. This one will not, even when I try to make it go with the remote. ... show more

  • Best Pool Cleaner Ever
I have owned lots of pool cleaners over the years, of all different types. This is the 2nd robotic cleaner that I’ve owned that plugs into electrical power instead of using suction from the pool motor. I love everything about this cleaner except for one thing which I will get into later. Since I started using this cleaner, my pool is always spotless. Programming/Scheduling: This Polaris is super easy set up a daily schedule of cleaning. For each day of the week, you can select to clean the floor only, the floor, walls, and waterline, or the water line only. NOTE: The schedule setting to clean the floor, walls, and waterline, is labeled “floor and walls”, but if you read the description you will see that the waterline is also included. You can also adjust the cleaning intensity for each day of the week. There is also a schedule setting called Smart Cycle that calculates the optimal cleaning time based on the size and shape of your pool. Debris basket: The debris basket is large enough to where in only need to empty it about once per week and I have an unscreened pool with 2 large oaks trees nearby. the basket is super easy to remove, clean, and put back. Ease of Removal: This cleaner has a feature called “Lift System”. You use the remote control app to turn the cleaner so it’s facing directly for a flat area of the pool wall. Then you use the remote to drive the cleaner to the wall, and up the wall until you can easily reach down and grab the large handle on the cleaner to safely lift it out of the pool. You should never use the electrical cord to pull the cleaner out of the pool. I rarely take the cleaner out of my pool. I just leave it in so it can clean every day of the week oh the schedule I have programmed. The only time I remove it is when we are going swimming. Only downside: the only downside to this cleaner also comes with an upside. The fact that’s it’s not cordless is a downside because when using the cleaner you always have an unsightly cord draped across your pool deck into the pool. However the upside of having a corded cleaner is that you never need to take it out to recharge. I could have purchased a cordless cleaner but I opted for a corded cleaner I would never have to recharge. Not having to recharge is more important to me than not having a cord draped across my pool deck. If they ever develop a cordless robotic cleaner that just as effective as this one that can drive out of the pool and dock itself to recharge than I will probably make the switch. Because my pool is unscreened and we have several large oak trees nearby, I need my cleaner running daily and I’m way too busy to have to manually remove a cleaner every day to recharge it and then remember to put it back in the pool every morning before work. If they can develop a cordless cleaner that recharges via solar and can drive itself out of the pool to recharge or drive into a cradle that’s mounts at the waterline, I would definitely give it a shot. Only missing feature: the only missing feature that I can think of besides being cordless is robotic skimming. It would be absolutely amazing if this cleaner could clean the floor, walls, and waterline, as well as skimming the surface. Since I started using this cleaner, my pool floor and walls are always spotless, but I still have to use a net to manually skim the surface. I would love to no longer have to skim my pool. ... show more

  • Good cleaner when it works, doesn't last
The cleaner works really well cleaning pool, but after only 6 months, it started throwing an error. I took it into a local shop supported by warranty, and they had to replace most of the parts in the unit. The unit does not seem well designed to last for years to come if it needed such extensive repairs after only 6 months. ... show more
