The dual valve/burner system has one stainless steel burner dedicated to wood chips and one burner for cabinet temperature. I use my smoker 3-4 times a week. Good quality and build. Easy to use. Temp control runs 20-30 lower than my gauges but I think it’s due to the position on the smoker. Easily holds 12 lb brisket on a shelf. Cleaning is super easy. Great value and would buy again!

It was easy to assemble and it works really well. I like that it has a window so I can look at the food instead of opening the door and letting the smoke/heat out and having to wait for the heat to build up again.

I am new to the meat smoking life this smoker is a good size and easy for a beginer. It does drop the temperature pretty fast when you open the door and takes a bit to bring it back to temperature

My husband has been wanting a smoker for a long time. He told me the other day this one was way better than the one he had his eye on. He's smoked ribs several times, a pork loin, and he's cooked meatloaf, hamburgers, vegetables and a lot more in it. He likes he can put pellets for a smoke flavor, or leave them out and just cook. He's even cooked a pizza in it. He also says it doesn't seem like it uses a lot of propane. After using several times a week for well over a month, the tank still fills pretty heavy, indicating that he hasn't used a lot gas. So glad I got it for him. ... show more

    • Arrived Damaged - Striker not working - Unable to reach anyone in Customer Support
I received this and assembled it (took nearly 3 hours) and upon testing the components, I found the striker to light the burners did not work. Work around is with a long lighter. Tried to call customer service - 45 minutes on hold with no answer. Decided to try some pork chops. Temperature fluctuations ranging from 225 - 275 without moving the gas dial. After 3 hours - pork chops done and they were good. This will take some work to get things done right. Had another issue with the water pans - called again - again - gave up after 45 minutes on hold. Never spoke to a live person. Customer service sucks - and will take a great deal of patience to get meat smoked. Thought about returning it - just didn't relish the thought of disassembly and packing. ... show more

So of course to start with its a cheap smoker so you have to accept it won't be the best thing out there but you still expect certain things. Cons 1. The door came scuffed up yet the box was perfectly fine...either the quality control at pitboss is horrible or this is a return masking as new. 2. the door seal was a joke, leaks everywhere. Going to try and fix this with a lavalock gasket 3. Just might be my preference but I wish the wood chip holder opened at the handle so you didn't have to completely remove it to reload chips. 4. Grease leaked down onto the wood chip holder, missed the water pan all together and crusted up on top of it which cause a bit of an issue pulling the tray in and out...going to investigate how that happened. 5. The gas knob is very cheap plastic. Positives 1. I felt assembly was easy and the instructions were correct. 2. Even with the seal leak the temperature was controllable for the most part 3. Decent space inside for the small form factor Overall it should work for me for the time being and is an ok smoker for a beginner....I do see why people pay a lot for the great smokers though. ... show more

I put this together today. Very easy to follow instructions. Took 2 hours and 30 minutes of that was unpacking. Quality looks great and sturdy. The wheels are a nice touch for moving around. This is a big step up from my Smoke Hollow electric smoker. Looking forward to firing this baby up.
