The unit arrived in perfect shape and assembled easily. It is an ok length for me at 5’6”. Anyone over 5’9 would be uncomfortable. My goals are to strengthen my core, hip and leg muscles. I use weights for upper extremities. Considering the prices of bigger , heavier units compared to this unit makes it just right for me. I recommend it to my friends and would buy it again. Glad I was able to spend a reasonable sum and get a good work out at home. Recent knee replacement has removed jogging, weighted squats and higher resistance biking. Fast delivery, well packaged and a very sturdy frame makes this a good value. Aside from the price, the folding feature was important to me. The folding process isn't hard but the reformer is heavy and not convenient for everyday storage; once folded it's easy to move on the wheels. I've used it for intermediate workouts and the small bed is a restriction. It came with 5 (light?) and 2 red (medium?) resistance bands and a set of springs with no information. Switching the bands is easy and I haven't used the springs yet. Two negatives for me are the pulley cords and the shoulder rests; the cords are noisy. The shoulder rests are squishy and small and don't feel safe for some work. While the frame is well made, replacement cords and resistance bands will likely need replacing. Despite the negatives mentioned, you can get a good work out on this reformer with a few body adjustments at a reasonable price. ... show more

This works well for for me and my partner. I am 5'4" and my partner is 4'10. This is a great budget buy, but requires some refinement to de-horn the sharp edges throughout the metal parts where human skin comes in contact. I filed the sharp edges and sanded smooth for tactile comfort. After de-hornimg, this feels like a quality pilates machine. I had to clean the track to removed debris and relube with synthetic lithium grease. Now it is butter smooth. ... show more

I've been on the hunt for a reliable at-home reformer when I'm not taking classes at the studio. This one has been ideal! I liked that it had options for springs whereas a lot of at home machines didn't. It's comfortable and fits my 5'4 frame. It was quick to build and has been great to use for at home workouts. I really enjoyed my workouts in this pilates reformer, overall this is great value and I would 100% recommend if you don't want to go to a studio. One important consideration is that this is for small people, I am 5'4 and I have to adjust myself in the small platform to give space to some movements. An example would be, I can't plank positioning my feet at the top of the platform, I have to move them to the middle to give my legs room for the whole stretch. When putting the feet on strap, I can barely get them all the way out, if I was just 1' taller I wouldn't be able to do it, maybe there's a way to make them longer, but regardless, the machine is not for anyone taller than me. I don't know what are the heavy, light or medium springs, they are either all the same or not marked. The foot bar is not easily adjustable, I can't move it up or down during a workout. All that said, this is incredible value for a pilates reformer, I am able to complete my workouts, it's smooth and is not an eye sore. It was so easy to put together! They seem to have excellent customer service, they even sent me an email to follow up about my reformer. ... show more

I am so happy I bought this as a starter reformer! I needed one that was off the ground and easy to store. I buy a lot of fitness equipment with limited space and it is perfect! As for the cost, apparently, this is the entire cost of a monthly Pilates class. This was definitely a good deal. What I will say is, I am 5'9" and if you are any taller than that, it may be an issue. When I fully extend my legs from the bar (on my tip toes) when it sits at 45 degrees, I hit the very end of the reformer. I really have to watch myself in order to not slam against the back. Controlled movements are the point of Pilates but in my case, it has a double meaning. All in all, highly recommend this reformer. ... show more

    • Great Reformer along with Great Customer Service!
My Pilates reformer was delivered quickly. My husband helped me set up and there was a problem with one of the wheels. I thought that I needed a new reformer, but customer service was very helpful and convinced me to try changing the wheel first. A new wheel was immediately sent, and my husband was able to change out the wheel and now the reformer is perfect. I set up a computer monitor and laptop and am able to stream free workouts on Youtube. You don't have to spend a fortune for a reformer.
