Very easy to put together. It did come with the 30 and 40lb bands and very easy to work with as it came with some exercise instructions as well. The only part that was confusing was letting some of the tension out of the bar.

I needed soemthing to add to my home workouts other than weights. When I read the reviews for this, I was sold, and the reviews are right! This is a great bar for arm toning and there are exercises to use on the floor for leg muscle toning. You can use this in so many ways for different muscles and even for stretching. There are two weight attachments, 30 and 40 bands, for each side. My foot with a sneaker is too big to fit in the foot loophole so I go without shoes. ... show more

Use the leg/ankle straps that came with the packaging, I promise you’ll change your mind. At first I was using the handles (the ones that look like you obviously grab them with your hands or have that strap above it where you fit your foot in there) and when I would try to do the squats, they would immediately lose tension as I “squatted down/bent my knees” and it was really annoying. I switched to the ankle straps and I immediately felt the difference when I did certain exercises and moved to the higher resistance band weight level (20/30/50.) The only thing that’s annoying but still SOMEWHAT work-around-able is being short and trying to do bicep curls or an exercise of a similar motion that involve the bar placement being at or near the waist and PULLING it upward, because the bands will lose tension, even with the straps on the bar pulled to the lowest “height” settinf ... show more

This is a great little Pilates bar kit to use at home when the weather is bad or you simply just don’t want to go to the gym. I also bought a deck of cards with different bar exercises on it and it has greatly helped my at home workout routine. The only thing is that while including the bag to hold everything in was a nice touch, it is extremely fragile and the thing to close the bag broke the very first time I used it. ... show more
