Description

The Mojave Reptile Lounge features front sliding, glass doors for easy access and cleaning, a large, mesh screen top to accommodate most UV and heat lamp set-ups and vented side panels for optimal ventilation. This reptile lounge habitat unit is made with ECOFLEX®, a proprietary composite blend of recycled polymers and reclaimed wood fiber by products that make up a durable and moisture resistant material. ECOFLEX® is easy to clean and does not retain odor. This unit is not watertight and should not be used for animals that need to have standing water in their enclosures. The top of the unit is wire mesh and intended to support heat and UV lamps. Customers can place heat/UV lamps on the wire portion of the top of the unit. Heat lamps SHOULD NOT touch the ECOFLEX material please refer to assembly instructions. Great for indoor or outdoor use. A habitat made for tortoises, arachnids, chameleons, scorpions, hermit crabs, hamsters, guinea pigs, small rabbits. The enclosure looks very nice. Because I built it I notice all the little details that look cheap, but someone looking at it wouldn't notice these details. It's all plastic screws holding together the walls, but as a result is very simple to assemble. The viewing window/doors are real glass and are very thick. The locking mechanism is very effective without being difficult to use. I've assembled two of these so far and have learned to appreciate what you get for the money even if the pvc material and parts are a bit hacky and cheap. It took me less than 20 minutes to assemble the second one I've bought. I recommend this enclosure but don't expect too much. Works great as an enclosure. My snakes are enjoying the space, and I'm not bothered by a shabby looking enclosure. (Forgive the dirty glass in the second photo). ... show more

    • Fabulous alternative to traditional PVC enclosures

I cannot recommend these enclosures enough. I run a reptile shop and often share this product link with my customers instead of my own goods. You can put them together in 20 minutes by yourself, they’re incredibly sturdy yet lightweight, they have a sufficient substrate barrier, and the tracks for the sliding glass doors align perfectly. The two I have are 100% better than the traditional PVC enclosures I’ve used. Heat lamps and UVB fixtures are secure on the lid, while thermostat regulated heat pads stick and work just as great on the bottom and sides. I love how versatile they are- in that I have a bearded dragon in one (sweltering heat + arid animal) and a Florida Kingsnake in another (fairly humid + mid range heat animal). My best friend has one for her Brazilian rainbow boa (extremely humid + low-mid range heat animal). I am planning on buying six more for two ball pythons, two Columbian rainbow boas, another Florida king, and a BCI. ... show more

I purchased this enclosure for an 8-month-old bearded dragon I was fostering, and it turned out to be perfect! I already own the smaller version of this enclosure for traveling with my own bearded dragon, and since it’s served me so well, I thought the larger size would be ideal for my foster—and I was right. Assembly was a breeze, and it’s lightweight enough to move easily, especially if you remove the doors first. The clean, modern design is a nice touch, and the enclosure offers plenty of space for a young dragon to run around and explore. My foster absolutely loved it! The only drawback is the lack of a cord access cutout in the back, which would make it easier to place lights inside. Without it, you’ll need to cut a hole in the screen top to run cords through, which is a bit inconvenient. Super easy to assemble. Took about 20 min by myself. Looks good. Feels solid enough. Came with no damage even though the box was kinda beat up a little. It should be plenty big enough for our bearded dragon. The screen top feels pretty sturdy. The sliding doors are actual glass. The locking mechanism should be plenty sufficient as long as you don't lose it. Seems like a good enclosure for a variety of different dry or low moisture reptiles. My only concerns/complaints would be the supplied screws. They do the job but are made of plastic, so they could potentially be a weak point eventually. All went in and tightened down fairly well except 1 that stripped, but I don't think it will be to bad because of where it is. It will also need to be sealed along all the inner edges if you plan to put any substrate like sand or dirt. It just doesn't seal completely on its own. Not really a problem though. It's a cheap and easy fix. Overall a pretty good enclosure for the price. Feels solid enough to last once it's set up. Would recommend for anyone needing a bigger enclosure on a tighter budget. ... show more

bought this for my moms lizard. i love it and mr mango absolutely is so much happier! this is 1000% a MUST HAVE if you have a bearded dragon. first of all, the size. it is the minimum required size to house a bearded dragon. you can go bigger, but you absolutely cannot go smaller. this is a 4x2x2, 120 gallons, recommended by reptile enthusiasts. anywhere you look you will see that they need this size. if you have them in a 40 gallon and you’re debating purchasing this, just go for it. your beardie will be stressed out and won’t have enough room to move unless you upgrade. 40 is fine for a baby but you NEED to upgrade by the time they reach a year! sooner is better. as for the quality of this specific cage/brand, i love! couldn’t be happier! you wanna go with PVC or wood to retain heat, and you want something that has 3 solid sides (not just glass all the way around) so they have a feeling of comfort and security. this covers all of that as it’s made of PVC and only the front is glass. the actual color is really nice, glass is thick, and the mesh is sturdy yet thin/big enough holes to let the UVB and basking light through. the doors open easily and it has a mechanism that allows you to keep the doors shut. it’s not a lock with a key so not 100% childproof but small children probably couldn’t figure it out. the price is the best i’ve found, especially for this quality. i did mine through affirm so i have an affordable payment plan. as for other things you might need, you’ll want to get a basking slate (not pictured in mine but he has one i promise). you’ll want to upgrade your basking to a higher wattage to where the slate surface temp reaches at 100 degrees F. but don’t go too high. i have mine at 150 watts, but it depends on the brand and type of bulb. you’ll also want to make sure you have a strip UVB like the one by arcadia, not the coils, as those don’t produce enough UVB for a beardie. don’t put fake plants in there, they will eat those. i’m using a reptile mat but you can use loose substrate just make sure it’s safe (google). don’t use reptile carpet it rips out their nails. i’m not an expert this is just what i have learned to take care of my moms lizard! i’m still learning! join some facebook groups or look on reddit if you want to learn more ... show more
