We bought a hardtop gazebo for this summer and that’s still pending HOA approval so it’s not put together yet. As the weather this year has been really weird (the temperature had already soared to 84 this week and going back down to 30s next week) we had to have something to shade it a bit right away so we can enjoy the backyard as much as we like. This umbrella does the job: it’s very easy to set up, versatile to open on sunny days and close on windy days, sturdy enough with the sandbags at the base (we used our own sand), solar lights add a little whimsical touch at night and make it a lot more pleasant to look at. Edit: the seller was very responsive and is sending me a new umbrella after receiving pictures of the damaged one! 🤞🏻 this one holders up with some adjustments of the base weight. I set up my new umbrella this afternoon and placed the recommended 135lbs of sand (split between the 2 bags) to hold it down. By this evening (despite being closed) it had fallen over, pulled off the base, and blew into the yard. It bent/broke one of the poles that helps it extend open (the pole with the light switch). That pole no longer supports the umbrella, extends, and the lights are broken on it. It also caused a very slight tear in the fabric (I was going to ignore that until I noticed the pole was also bent in half and broken. I have sent a message to the seller and will update review based on response, but currently disappointed it didn’t even last a day despite following the instructions for set up ... show more

I would never buy this umbrella unless you are OK with the color fading to an unrecognizable color and then getting absolutely no customer support. We bought this two years ago and only after one summer. Did the product go from Navy blue to light purple! Unbelievable especially since they specifically say the umbrella is fade resistant. I texted customer support through Amazon and got a email back the next day saying that the umbrella is no longer warranted and fading is very normal and actually they told me to keep it out of the sun when it is not in use whatever that actually means. I responded that, they misrepresent the product on Amazon‘s own site and then got another email back saying that they’ll give me 5% off a new umbrella! Actually, all I was asking for was a replacement of the fabric even offering to pay for it! When I got my third response that they don’t have the fabric separate from the umbrella this is not an insignificant purchase price and when you are certainly trying to create a nice outdoor scene with the right colors, everything we have on our pool furniture is navy blue, this does not work. I’m not gonna say anything about it being made in China because so is my iPhone and I love it, but I think the response from customer support was absolutely inappropriate especially when I’m offering to buy a new fabric. So do yourself a favor and look elsewhere, I don’t care what color you get it is going to fade into an unrecognizable color. And the worst part is you can’t do anything about it not even offered to buy a new fabric!! Wow. Amazon should really do something about this. ... show more

I really like the double-sided design, it provides ample shade, which is equivalent to15 feet in length and 9 feet in width. The canopy is made of 100% polyester fabric, which is water-resistant, UV protective, fade-resistant, and easy to clean. The umbrella also has rust-resistant steel pole and 12 sturdy ribs. It looks like it is going to last a lot of years. I do also like the solar-powered LED lights, it brings a cool vibe at night.
