This feeder helps us so much. It is great for our cat and us. It’s easy to set up a schedule of feedings. You can customize how much food you want to come out at any particular time. The only problem we have had as seen in the photographs. The underside of the lid has come off twice, blocking all food from dispensing into her bowl from the feeder. The first time this happened, we both just realize the cat was sitting in front of her bowl for a long period of time and there was no food. We had gotten in the habit of the feeder working, we had a lot going on and were a bit, oblivious to the fact that we hadn’t heard her cat food dropping into the bowl all day. We reattached the bottom to the underside of the lid and put it back on but about a month later the same thing happened, except I caught it much quicker this time! So I now just leave the bottom part off because it doesn’t seem to serve a purpose and the feeder works the same great way with or without it attached. I’m just so glad we found this problem when we were at home! Overall, I highly recommend this feeder. When we’re out of town, we always have someone come to our home at least every other day to clean her litter box, pet and play with her and fill her food and water. ... show more

    • Helped my food obsessed kitty!
I couldn't be more pleased with this product! We have an 8 year old kitty who is absolutely obsessed with his food, to the point where he'd get on the counter and tear open bags of rice, bread, etc to find any scrap he could eat. If I walked within ten feet of his food dish he'd start screaming for food, despite following a strict feeding schedule. We brainstormed a bit and decided the human factor might be an issue. We measured out his food and spread that across five feeding times in the day. After a few months of use, I can say that his food obsession/anxiety is WAY better. He no longer tries to break into cabinets for human food he won't even eat, and he no longer follows us around the house screaming for a snack. Our only issue was the button on top- he figured out how to get the lid off in the first day. Our solution isn't elegant- we just taped the lid down. The battery memory is a lifesaver. We have frequent storms, so not losing our very specific presets is a great feature. Thanks for helping Handsome Jack chill out for the first time in his life! ... show more

    • Works, simple setup, lots of plastic packaging
I bought two, for each of my cats, one weird thing I noticed is that over three weeks the clocks in each have drifted by 3 minutes between them, so one cat is waiting while the other is eating. Every week I have to update the clock so they're "the same time" but they keep drifting (one speeding up and the other is slowing down). Very odd. Regardless the portions are fairly accurate and they have worked so far without problems, they have an LED that shows when the food is low and I appreciate that since it is something I can look at in passing. My only gripe is that every single item in the package had some sort of plastic wrapper, it seems very unnecessary and wasteful. Otherwise, for the price, I am fairly happy with these, slightly annoyed at the clock drifting and the amount of unnecessary plastic in the packaging. ... show more

Programming is a little tricky but just look up a video. Directions aren’t very helpful. As long as you program it to dispense a total of roughly 16 portions (depending on how big your cat is). Cat loves it, doesn’t bother me anymore to be fed!

If my cats hadn't already gotten used to the one that calls them I would have kept this. I tried it after being frustrated with the wifi feeders' unreliable software. This model is hardware only (from the user's perspective), and it functions almost perfectly. The cord has a recessed inlet and cleats to hold it steady, which is really essential to keep the thing from going offline incessantly because USB-C plugs are easily dislodged and damaged. Petlibro left out this key feature for some inexplicable reason on their higher-end Granary models. (I literally have to tape the cord onto the back of the Granary.) ... show more

You know, I am a full-time college student, who works heavy hours and an owner of 2 cats and I wanted the ease of properly feeding each of my cats; my cats have the tendency to dip into each other's food. When these came, I set both feeders up with ease; the only tricky part was the feeding breakdown. I set both of my kitties up with the same food breakdown (P3 x 4x a day). Everything ran smoothly until I hit month 5 of owning these feeders. I try not to be super anal with things I buy, but man I was frustrated with these feeders. In the last 2 weeks, my feeders have not been dispensing it's 6am feeding & 12pm feeding, I tried to play around with taking out the food and putting the food back. It just seems that my feeder is not saving the entries I put for 6&12pm. As my return window closed, I did reach out to customer service about this issue. Unfortunately, the faultiness of both feeders comes and goes and I can't predict when it will act up. I gave up on one of the feeders and bought a different brand with better reviews, we'll see how that goes On a brighter note: These feeders are very user friendly once you get the feeding measurements down. I use the plug-in option as I did use D-cell batteries and it lasted me 2 months (not convenient if you ask me). I got this product when it was on sale for $29.99 WOO! The performance is great, but I can't predict down the line how it will be for you. Side note: There is a 24 month warranty in case you do have issues with the feeder. ... show more
