  • Subscription Required
The media could not be loaded. So many awesome features! It does require subscription to use it to cover covers expenses for servers maintenance and cellular data costs. The cheapest subscription at this moment for monthly is $5/month. I was so eager to get everything set up when I received the tracker, I tried to skip a very important step. The tracker must be fully charged before you can connect it for the first time. Being sure to have a full charge (light will be green) before starting the setup process will take away any frustration. Once i had it charged the setup was easy. I tried to record the setup process but because of this mistake on my end, I was unable to finish the video. I was scared that since Lilo has a bulky “military” style collar, the tracker would’nt fit. It would be nice if there were more stretch to the silicone (but stretchiness would take from the durability), however it did fit after some stretching and pulling. If you do not have a common size collar, be sure to remove the tracker from the holder before attempting to fit it, as that will assist in the stretching. Once I got the tracker on the collar, i was confident the tracker was secure to the collar, it does not seem like it will fall.(update: 3 weeks later and I see no issue with the tracker falling out. The silicone case is very secure and keeps the electronics dry as lilo is a messy drinker) The app is really cool. You can track your dogs activity just like a fitbit! You can also mark safe zones, so while your dog is in those zones the battery will go into low consumption mode, so as to not drain the battery too fast. When the Tracker finds a saved Wi-Fi name around itself, it stops sending updates to the servers and the app. There are also Virtual Fences, designed to notify you when your pet leaves or goes into a safe zone or reaches a no-go zone, for example, a busy road. 4 days in the power saving mode only took 60% of battery. - There is also a sound to play while searching for your pet. It is a high pitched noise, and I am going to try to train Lilo to come back home to that noise by giving her treats when I play the sound. - finally there is a light to switch on, this can aid in a search at night. But also assist in visibility during nightly walks. Overall this tracker is a great buy and adds extra peace of mind in case of an emergency. ... show more

  • Some cool features
I bought this for my cat socks who was a former feral barn cat who insists on going outside. I put it on his harness (as pictured). The size is ok for a cat, but there's always room it to be smaller, of course. Pros: I love the light feature on it, it helped me to locate him quickly when he was nearby playing hide and seek with me at night. I like the different battery saving options. It's easy to setup and get going, it's pretty standard downloading the app, creating an account, and connecting to the wifi. The battery life is pretty good especially if you're in battery saving mode. Cons: You can send a tone to the device to locate or call your pet if trained, this is a great feature, but the tone it plays is awful and tilting for both the human and pet in a very bad way. I wish it was something more pleasant like a little jingle or something easier on the ears, especially the pool pets ears. I don't use this feature because of that. Overall, it's a good price point, it works well, and the plan is reasonable (especially if you buy 1+ years upfront). ... show more

  • You’ll need a tracker to find this gracker
First day received in post after unit was charged, the dog got out wearing the unit. Completed all the required steps in creating an account before hand so all in good order, or so we thought. Within minutes we were informed of his location so off I went, nope nowhere near here because within a few minutes of arriving at first loacation we were informed of another location, some three and half miles away. Dog must have hijacked a car, but nevertheless off I went. At least the unit was consistent, no dog there either. I knocked on home owners door and showed them my GPS location device showing dog was under there house. We both searched everywhere, thinking that the unit had fallen out under porch. Never found him but unit kept saying he or at least the unit was there. Unit was at this time probably about 2 hours into its lifespan. Later that evening dog came home with unit still in place around his neck and still showing the location under the home of a stranger. I contacted PetCube, which is a feat in itself but they required screen shots and other information which seemed more in tune with covering their own rear end than helping me. I used the unit one evening, maybe 8 hours or so at the most and that cost me a month’s membership. They never recontacted me, sent me a replacement or helped me understand what went wrong, they just ignored me. To this day they still send me promos to purchase more units. And I thought Medicare telesales were persistent. I gave the unit a 1 because that was the lowest I could give and still complete this review. The idea is good the product and monthly fees leave a lot to be desired. Unless you are independently wealthy this unit is probably not the best ornament for your mantlepiece. ... show more
