It runs a little big for my kitty even according to the size chart so it would be very easy for her to escape. It was just as pictured and a super cute pattern and color! The buckles appear to be good quality.

This is a very nicely made harness/leash set. If you're on the fence about what size to get, go with the bigger size as this runs a bit small. I never realized how hard it would be to harness a cat, so I hope yours is more cooperative than mine!

I am giving 3 stars because of the way it fits my cat. The harness we bought does not sit right on my cat back. The strap around his middle is fine but the neck part sits off center to the right on his back. It makes him look lopsided. Otherwise it is a nice harness. I didn't think I would like needing to slide the harness over my cats head but it actually worked out really well. She didn't mind having it on so I'm not sure how it would hold up with a feisty kitty but it fit well and seems pretty sturdy so I would assume it would be fine. You see the pretty print and think it'll be cute on your pet. But the prints are under the pet so you don't see it, all you see are these straps. So many straps. I guess if your pet constantly loses and gains weight, this would work, but seriously, so many straps.
