I guess I need to pay more attention to measurements than the pictures, because I thought this would b much bigger. It barely fits halfway under the 2gal dog water fountain I got it for, so I just sit it in front of the bowl. I wouldn't say it is very absorbent, as I frequently have a pool of water under and around it from my dogs thinking their fountain is a splash pad. I have to take it outside, wring it out, and leave in the sun to dry. It does seem pretty durable, as the pups haven't succeeded in eating it yet, and it's at least not showing signs of staining or mold yet. I'll keep it, but will probably nd up getting something bigger and more absorbent. ... show more

My beautiful dog is a sloppy drinker, always has been and truly I made it part of our routine to set towels down by her water/food bowls which we would use to mop up the stray water after she ate and drank. The unfortunate reality has been lots of wet socks/wet feet in my family as we inevitably would miss all the wet spots and would step in the puddles on our way to the pantry or while cooking. This little mat, I just purchased it last week and already it has been a game-changer! The mat quickly absorbs all water splashes, the space is neater, and I no longer have laundry full of small dirty little towels from my dog’s food area! I should have purchased this years ago!
