I needed to move my 14 yo Weimaraner's food and water bowl up from the basement where they usually ate and drank. I have two Weimaraner's. They can carry a mouth full of water from the basement all the way out to the porch and drop it in your lap. Yes, they are slobs and sloppy drinkers. So since I had to have the water bowl upstairs on my hardwood floors, this has been the solution of all solutions. And they call this color "pink orange". But it is the perfect terra cotta/clay pot orange to match my terra cotta kitchen. I love it and am grateful to have found it. It truly does do everything it says. It absorbs water right in front of your eyes. It wipes dog food (ok my peanut butter spills while giving Stanley his meds) and food messes right up with a dish rag leaving zero stains. So dang easy it is hard to believe it is all this and a bag of chips. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. It is worth every penny and I'm thankful for saving my hardwood floors. ... show more

Purchased this for a kitten, that is what is perfect for. It is a thinner mat. I placed beneath a dual water & food bowl for a kitten. It catches water spilss & food that the kitten drops. As the kitten has gotten bigger that mat is to light weight/ thin. The kitten can move that mat easily which creates a mess. So worked great during kitten phase. Mat is well made, wipes up easily and may work for a smaller animal. Did not contain the water from my lab’s very messy drinking style.; simply served as a funnel to stream water onto the floor. Larger size will not fit in the space but may work better for large breed animals.
