This hide looks and feels very natural, it has a rough texture without being sharp at any point, probably good for reptiles trying to shed. I used this as my moist hide with a damp paper towel, but switched and put some dirt in it as a little dig box. Definitely big enough for my leopard gecko

It’s a great size for my female leopard gecko! She loves laying in it and peaking her head out. It’s great for reptiles to feel secure and safe since it only has one opening.     • Smells of chemicals
I purchased one from my local pets store and decided to order another one. The one I purchased online smelled of chemicals. The one from my local pet store did not. I tried to clean this and put it in the tank but my pets only use the one from the pet store and avoid the one that smells.

I am very disappointed! I ordered one, then it came smelling so bad like chemicals. There’s also a white coating inside the hide which is obviously what’s causing the smell but it won’t come out.I let it soak to try and the smell out. I tried everything . And guess what, it’s still the same. So I was going to send it back and receive a new one in hopes that maybe I got one that happened to be the only bad smelling one. Nope. The second one smell just as bad. I really don’t understand why it smells like chemicals but I do not trust putting that in my geckos tank. I attached pictures of the inside the best I could to show the white in the inside. I was very excited to get this hide because it looks really hide but it’s not worth risking my gecko getting sick or die. ... show more
