The media could not be loaded. Let me start this off with; I gave it 5 stars because it is definitely great quality however I did not pay attention to the size cuz I have ADHD and was just excitedly and impulsively buying things for my jumping spider lol bit it's ok...I only ordered 2 😅 but I'm not gonna bother with a return...I am antisocial so I refuse to reach out and go through doing a refund and I'm also scared of forgetting to return them anyway. Lol so I'm going to just sell them to friends or post them on a local page on fb for my area...anyway; for those of you with larger reptile pets or true spiders(? I think that's what their generally called...still learning - hence my excitement of my new dopamine hobby) this is a FANTASTIC little hanging bed for your pets 😊 just not small ones especially if the enclosure is too small like mine...thank you to the seller for the great product! This is literally my favorite part of my vivarium. I took pictures of it in stages as I set everything up. The last picture looks more brown only because I dropped substrate all over it. It's still a nice green underneath the soil. I added some bright green terrarium moss on and around it and it looks so cool like some magical place my gecko can go to hide. It gives me that "mushrooms and fairies" vibe. Is that cottage core? Idk but I DO know I love this! I put a little moss on the inside too for extra cushion so it's cozy in there.     • My crabs ate the moss off.....

I love these for my hermit crabs bought one a year ago and 1 just recently. I recently moved my crabs to a bigger terrarium and upon removing my older moss ball discovered most of the moss in the back of the hide was coming off or had already come off and wire was being exposed. I believe my crabs probably ate it off and I had no idea. It did not kill them as they are all still thriving. I am however disappointed that the moss is off of the one that is why I gave it only 4 stars. I do know wire is not good for hermit crabs.....I heard it is toxic to them. Anyway these are great hides but buyer beware, your animals may eat the moss as my crabs did. I really do not believe it is toxic as my crabs are all still alive a year later. I did buy another ball not knowing they ate the other but the do love to hide in these balls. ... show more

4”hideout. I bought 2….. I’m a goober and should have paused and thought about how big (or small) 4” is. Lol. I have an adult crested gecko and of course she doesn’t fit!! Hahaha. But I stuck them her cage anyway. My took my girl awhile to warm up to them but when she did she crawled all over them. She loves them. I’ll get her the 6” for sure. The natural moss is shoved into a wire structure. The basic shape is made with a thick gage and then there’s a small gage wire wrapped around the larger gage to keep the shape and give the moss something to hang onto. It’s a great product. Well made. The moss drys out pretty quickly and it doesn’t necessarily get all the moisture it needs to stay supple from misting so plan on soaking the balls about once a week depending on your environment and temperature. I will caution everyone to to run your hands inside and out squeezing the moss as you go once you unpack your moss balls. Look for loose wire ends. I found several, mostly the large gage wire ends near or at the mouth of the moss ball. The ends are sticking out enough and sharp enough to inflict serious damage to an unsuspecting lizard, snake, or frog. A quick snip or maybe a glob of nontoxic sealant or hot glue should does the trick. I used hot glue and made a small end piece on the large gage wire. Worked like a charm. ... show more

This product is truly outstanding. I am a new hermit crab owner and have been trying to make my crab happy and comfortable. I bought everything they told me to get, and yet, my crab dig himself into the sand ALL the time and just wasn't happy. I saw this product and recognized it from many crab habitats I've looked at online. As soon as I installed this item in the habitat, close to the terrarium humidifier, my crab crawled its way in. Checked it out and stayed there for the longest time. Last time I checked, he was hanging out in there. I am very happy I finally found something that mimics its endemic environment. It is cozy and brings a nice sturdy metal chain to hang into the top of the terrarium, although I am not currently using it that way, It can be detached if necessary. It retains the humidity thus creating a warm environment where my crab enjoys spending time at. It is very simple, yet, it makes sense. Size is good, I believe I will be able to use it for a while. I do recognize I will have to purchase another one to keep it fresh but that is necessary for all other reptile, crab habitat I guess. Humidity dose that. It fouls aquarium water and the moss appears to be dead as it didn’t grow. Lost $100 worth of fish. The paint on the sides rubs off easily.

With any of our pets, I wasn't sure if my gecko would like it, I couldn't ask her. The moss was dry and brittle when the product arrived. Setting it up in my terrium and misting, the moss cave hide became lush and vibrant again. The moss cave hide includes the metal hooks on either side of the cave enterance for you to hang. The metal chain was also included with the product to hang. I chose not to hang the product and set it up on the floor of my terrarium. Initially, my gecko avoided the moss cave hide. With a little time, my gecko was more comfortable around the new thing in her terrarium and investiagted. After that she would regularly hide and curl up inside to sleep. As expected the product started to decary after just a couple months of regular misting and useage and had to be thrown away. I will purchase the product again when redesigning and updating my terrarium. ... show more

We ordered these for our frogs enclosures. Both of them often hide within in. I was surprised at the size. It has dimensions, but I’m terrible at visuals with just dimensions so they are definitely larger, but still work perfectly for the enclosures.
