I recently acquired this marvel of modern lizard luxury for my bearded dragon, Sir Scales-a-Lot, and let me tell you, he's now living the reptilian dream. It’s nice but it’s floats so I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone looking for fish decor. There are several listings for this and some have it listed as resin, but i’m almost positive it’s plastic. Not sure what this listing says, and maybe other sellers put another coating or somehow add to this, but this is very light and looked and felt like plastic… which wouldn’t be an issue in itself but it makes it more probable that it will float. Also I hate to use the word flimsy but this is super light and anything with a pulse will be able to move it. ... show more

Large hide that looks nice and is well made. There are sharp points throughout inside and out, but don't let that discourage you. I used my coarsest nail file and smoothed it down all over until I was satisfied that I could run my hand over it without my skin catching. A piece of sandpaper or a foam sanding block would work perfectly. After it was sanded, I washed with a bit of dish soap and hot water. Then it went into my ball python enclosure on the "hot and humid side". My snake is 1.5 years old and over 24". Fits with plenty of room to spare. It looks like it can fit two of him in there at the moment. The top of the hide is nice and low so even though the hide is big at the moment, he still feels secure inside. He also comes out to bask on top. He loves it and that's the most important thing. ... show more

This plastic cave did require trimming of sharp edges when I got it, but after that was taken care of, my leopard gecko just loves it. I had it just sitting on her cool side for a while, and she liked it, but preferred her stone mountain I built. But then, I covered the rock with soil and created a little valley for the entrance, and she LOVES it. Great value, easy to clean, works perfectly.     • CAUTION: Sharp Edges! Needs refinement!

Not as heavy as many hides I've seen, but sufficient for a small frog. Looks great and fits in it's corner well, however my only complaint is that it's unrefined. After handling it for a while, I noticed several very SHARP edges of plastic "Flashing" near the casting marks and at some of the rock peaks that were not smoothed over or cut off. Taking 20 minutes with a small X-Acto Knife and a piece of sand paper knocked down the sharp edges and ultimately the piece is now 100% usable but for the price, I'll probably purchase in my local pet store next time as theirs was only a few dollars more and was smooth and safe to use immediately without any additional refinement. If this was cheaper, I wouldn't be as critical. ... show more
