My little gecko dude loves this perch. He uses it to climb closer to the top of the tank so he can check out what’s going on. Sometimes he’ll just hang out there for a bit. The suction cups are strong…it hasn’t fallen off the tank once. It’s also easy to clean. It’s big enough for an adult leopard gecko but not so big that it crowds the tank. Great price as well. Let me preface this by saying I apparently don’t know what 8 inches is because I thought it would be big enough for my ball python to climb on. He’s a 3.5 year old adult and there’s no way he’s going to fit on this and use it for climbing or curling up on. This is much more suited for a juvenile or baby snake sadly. With that being said, the quality is very sturdy, looks life like, easy to clean, and the suction power seems great. I still have it in his tank for added clutter but we’ll have to search for something else for him to actually climb on. ... show more

I got this for my frogs to use, but I don't even think they notice it. It is a cute addition to the tank though. My only complaint is that it is shorter than I thought it would be.

Super sturdy suction cups, good size, no smell, there was some visible glue on it, but was easy to clean up on my own and didn’t take away from the rest of the good stuff about this product .. would definitely buy this again!
