I recently purchased this Adirondack chair, and while it’s slightly smaller than traditional models, it’s surprisingly comfortable. Assembly was quick, though the small pictorial instructions could be challenging for some. We did run into a hiccup trying to fold it, but once we figured out the mechanism, it became much easier. The HDPE material feels sturdy and durable, far superior to cheaper plastic options, and I expect it will hold up outdoors for years. However, I did notice a slight flex in the seat when sitting which oddly adds to its comfort. While the chair is advertised as foldable, it’s heavy and bulky even when folded, making storage a bit cumbersome. Overall, this chair is a solid addition to our patio furniture. It’s comfortable, well-designed, and worth the investment compared to wooden alternatives. Just be cautious if you have bad knees or back issues, as the low seat may pose challenges.     • Worry about the plastic and the heat.

There is only one thing i worry about, is getting into it when it been in the full sun. The design is great. Much more comfortable then my other chairs and easy to assemble. It folds nicely and can be stored if you want. The plastic is thick but does feel unstable due to the slight flexing when you sit on it. (Has held up to my husband so far) After sitting in the sun it is quite warm. I still give it 4 stars because of the overall design and i believe it will last forever being the plastic it is. Is it worth the higher price then a wood one of similar quality. It would depend on the area you live and what you are using it for. For around my fire pit and leaving it out all year it is perfect. This chair is nice. It is easy to assemble and the hardware appears to be high quality. It is comfortable to sit in but seems to be slightly smaller than other similar chairs. I don't have any others but have sat in others and this seems slightly smaller. You also get flex from the seat when you sit in it. It doesn't feel like it is going to break or anything, just something to note. I like this chair so far. Time will tell how it lasts and I will be sure to come back and update this review if I have any problems. ... show more

    • Very Sturdy and Well Made Chair but Not so Easy to Fold

We got this as an addition to our patio furniture set. We have had plastic adirondack chairs that were flimsy and didn't last well - so I wanted something sturdier. This is a plastic material - but very thick and heavy. It is very sturdy and I expect it to last several seasons. It is advertised as foldable - but it is not easy to fold and is still heavy and bulky when folded, so I don't think I will use that feature. The assembly was also fairly complicated. I took one look at all the parts and told my husband he needed to put it together. The tools included were not sufficient to assemble it. He had to use his toolbox tools. Great chair, easy to use. Comfortable to sit in. Not recommended if you have bad knees or a bad back as the seat is low and will be difficult to get in and out of. Otherwise? All good. This particular model is sturdy and comfortable and arrived really fast.

The instructions are mostly pictures but they are kinda small and hard to see (especially for older eyes!) We finally got the chair put together and couldn't figure out how to fold it. Realized it was put together wrong and fixed it then we couldn't get it unfolded! After much frustration we finally figure out that the back of the chair tends to swing back to the back of the legs when you open it up but it needs to swing forward to rest on the back of seat. Once we knew that it was easy to fold and unfold. I noticed the plastic seat tends to bend a bit when I sit (150lbs) but I think this makes it more comfortable than a rigid seat. My dad is over 6ft and said his head was above the back of the chair which made it uncomfortable because he was not able to rest his head on anything. ... show more

This Adirondack chair is a bit smaller than usual, but is comfortable. Assembly was fast and easy, just take the time to match up and differentiate the bolts. The HDPE won't crack and collapse like the inexpensive plastic Adirondack chairs, and should hold up to the outdoors for many years.
