I read a lot and watches a lot of videos online about the PaperLike screen protector before deciding to buy one. The price is expensive in my opinion but at least you get 2 PaperLike screen protectors in the package, probably for a scenario if you failed installing it at the first time. And thanks for that because the first time I installed it on my iPad Mini 5 it didn't go well - even though I installed it in a clean environment. Fortunately, the second attempt to install with the second piece it went smooth and without any issues. Here are my thoughts about it: It sure makes the iPad less glossy - not 100% matte, but it's much better than without it. For drawing purposes it's wonderful as it makes more friction for the Apple Pencil plastic nib, versus drawing with it on the iPad's pure glass or on non-textured screen protectors. I also find it more enjoyable for reading e-books on the Kindle app as it makes your iPad look more like paper and feel more like paper when turning pages. The downside to some people might be if you're using your iPad for other purposes than just drawing and you prefer the pure glossy look and smooth touch feel. I already have an old iPad Pro 9.7" with traditional non-textured screen protector which looks glossy and feels smooth for the touch, and I bought the iPad Mini mainly for drawing. So for me I don't see it as a downside. But if you only have 1 iPad and glossy look and smooth feel is important for you, you might want to consider another solution such as rubber nib add-ons which can also be found here on Amazon. I didn't tried them but they should give more friction when drawing on the iPad's pure glass or on traditional non-textured screen protectors. ... show more

There is a reason PaperLike is the most recommended "paper like" screen protector on the market. Do not rush the installation. Again DO NOT rush the installation; follow the tutorial, pause it, rewind, and follow it and the process is simple and bubble-free. It is glare-free, and makes finger prints disappear. But the HUGE plus is when you write on it, it feels like paper. ... show more

Paperlike really makes ✍️ on my iPad so much easier. My pencil doesn't slip across my screen by accident anymore. It is easy to write just like on paper. It is expensive and I almost didn't buy it because of that but I am very glad I bit the bullet. For those who report thier pencil tip is worn down, you must be pushing EXTREMELY hard on your pencil for that to happen. ... show more

The film I liked a lot . . it does improve drawing or writing on the Ipad. The pencil doesn't have a slick surface to go sliding across. My only comment, and it is not a complaint, is that one must be VERY careful laying the film to the surface. I guess that's why you get two pieces of paperlike.

This is probably the forth or fifth screen protector I've installed on my iPad. Up to this point, they've claimed to be "paper-like" or fingerprint-proof, easy to install, or something else, all of which they were not. I was skeptical this would be any different, and the price kept me away for so long. Finally, being fed up with all the other garbage protectors I had installed, I gave this a try. I am more than pleased with the installation, the fit is perfect, not one air bubble or piece of trash under the screen. As far as the writing surface, no more writing on a piece of glass. I absolutely love the feel. Time will tell how well it holds up, but so far, two thumbs up! ... show more

I'm a designer and use my Remarkable 2 till the nibs fall off and nothing feels more like paper than actual paper. Downside? Black & White, no color. I have an Ipad Mini 5th gen & Apple Pencil that I use Procreate software and I love it, except for the feel -- not like paper. PROS- I bought this item to get that paper feel on my IPAD -- it definitely has that paper like tooth, so it's good in that way. The explainer video is hilarious and branding is on point. It adheres nicely to my ipad. CONS- I do get a screen-door like effect when looking through this product and it is distracting to me. It doesn't feel clear. Just keep that in mind. ... show more

Yes it really feels like paper! It does have a slight haze to the screen, but that does not bother me. Follow their detailed directions for installing and you won’t have any problems.
