To be clear, I normally use high end phone holder for my vehicles. Bulletpoint, Proclip, etc. Tough metal products. However, I got a new crv and found a really cool phone mount bracket that gets screwed in behind the dashboard. When I tried to use one of my high end phone holders on that mount bracket, they were too heavy, or stood to far out front of the bracket. Nothing was proving to be stable. So I started looking for something light, and as flush mounting as I could get. This panavise mount fits the bill perfectly. It mount flush up against the bracket. And it’s light. I have two complaints. The position of the release button is in the rear, which is difficult to reach and push. And secondly, the way the panavise phone mount attaches to the small mount bracket is not as secure as I would like. If you pull up slightly on your phone, the mount can pull off the bracket. The panavise finally solved my car/phone problems! There are as many phone holders as stars in the sky and they all suck. Each one in its own special way. The panavise is easy to use, flexible on its phone size tolerance, and secure. It's the easiest one handed solution I've ever tried. There are 4 people using our car and we all have different cases and phone sizes and this one works for everyone. So I've had my complete system for years. Works well and adjusts for most phones. The rubber on the ears that hold the phone finally started to harden (and wear out) because it is kept on the window, so I needed an answer. Also, one the ears finally fell off and was lost creating a conundrum for the other side. This replacement is a direct fit for the long arm system I bought from Panawise. It has an additional plate you can use or choose not to if you have the original screws that tap directly into the plastic mount on the holder side (comes with adapter hardware, not direct tapping screws) . Either way is usable, I prefer direct, the less connecting components, the less it should move, less slop. At any rate, very good replacement part for the arm I have which was a $60 system at the time. For $12 for this was a no brainer. Highly recommend with this system. ... show more

Easy every time you get in the car without slippage, adapts to any device you buy in the future, super stable, no annoyances. It's perfect. I have had one since 2013 that I never have to think about, since panavise appears to no longer produce bolt-in mounts (which was not that hard and totally perfect forever on my 2011 Honda Element), I'm trying to figure out a way to use this with a ProClip and AMPS adapter in a newer car. I'm not sure why other companies have not copied Panavise's phone mount, and why Panavise is not making bolt-in "permanent" car mounts on newer cars. ... show more

Love it. Really sturdy and quality construction. Only a couple minor things to consider however. One, it would be nice if the mount was 360° rotatable so you could position your phone vertically or horizontally, so if you really want to have a horizontal view or have both, this is not the mount for you. Also, it is kind of a shame they don't make a magnetic version of this since those have become very popular and sleeker/easier to use. The holster itself isn't really attractive to the eye or anything (although it's not necessarily bad looking either, just not as sleek as magnetic mounts), and having a big bulky holster to deal with can be a bit cumbersome especially considering it's something you're going to have to deal with most likely several times a day. This mount mates perfectly with the custom InDash mounting plate. I would have hoped it would be a little sturdier since the InDash mounting plate can obviously handle more weight. The side fingers that hold the phone are too light weight and I'm expecting them to break. The mechanism that locks the fingers in place doesn't sound too confident. I could be wrong but this is my impression after using it for a few weeks. It does hold my Note 4 steady and even some light off roading doesn't effect the mount. The phone stayed rock solid. If and/or when it does eventually break (I have a feeling it will) I'll look for something better. ... show more
