I got this to print some tabletop miniatures and scenery with, as well as some Minecraft objects, and the color is exactly what I hoped it would be. Imagine a fresh milk chocolate bar and that's the color of the print you'll get. The spool came vacuum packed with desiccant, as usual, and was ready-to-print right out of the box. I ran two prints, one fairly large (16 hours) and one smaller (6 hours) and had no issues with either using my standard PLA settings and print process. The texture is smooth and has a very lightly glossy appearance, not shiny, but also not matte. It prints smoothly and consistently and gave me no problems at all. It did not need any special treatment to print - I just opened the package, loaded the printer, sliced with my per-defined settings, and fired off a small test print - excellent results. Given how well this printed, I have purchased other Overture filaments (all PLA so far) and had similar good results. ... show more

In the past I have had good luck with other Overture PLA filaments. Sadly this spool of brown gave me a bunch of trouble with it tangling / jamming on the spool When I finally used/wasted several grams I had good success with a rather complicated and sizable item I printed

I'm fairly new to 3D printing, but this has been a very good filament for me--to the point that I've purchased 2 more colors of Overture PLA.

    • Unimpressed... Hatchbox seems better for my Ender

I have an Ender 3 v2 printer. I have probably put through close to 8 pounds (several different rolls) of Hatchbox and Eryone brand PLA through the printer. I have never had any issues with stringing. My first print with the chocolate PLA was extremely stringy. I dropped the temps incrementally during the print from my usual 220 down to 200 with no affect to the print quality. My print speed was 50mm/sec, I am not sure what the retraction settings were. I am going to take the suggestion to run 40mm/sec and 8mm retraction at 60mm/sec and print a calibration cube to see if there is any improvement. As of now, I am not impressed. ... show more
