  • Quality filament, great price
Color: Red-gold+red-black+black-orange+gold-cop... Size: 6 spools, 0.25kg/spool, 1.5kg/box
Bought the Flashforge Adventurer 5M for my granddaughter, along with the 6 pack of the bicolor filament. Worked perfectly and she loved the bicolor. I also like the variety of choices of different color packs for future purchases. Definitely will be buying again for Christmas!

  • I would buy again
Color: 250g X 6 Silk Pla Bundle Size: 1.5KG
I like to start with the bad and end with the good. The print quality is ok. It's not as good as any of my other filaments and the top and bottom leaves something to be desired. know it's not my printer or my profiles I am printing on a Bambu labs printer. The bottom layers of the print are sort of 2 tone and the top comes out slightly rough but this is something I have seen in other metallic filaments . But none of these issues seem to really impact anything. The filament is also weak. The good part about the filament is that it prints easy. I used with AMS system and printed just fine. No clogging or stringing. Only print fail I had was due to STL having minimal contact with bed. The colors also look great when printed and overall bed adhesion wasn't a problem. Filament was also wound very well and the only tangling I had was due to user error. Filament also seems pretty sturdy and not brittle. My print quality may have been better if slowed the print as I was printing at like 200mm. But I would definitely order from again. I am sure slowing down and changing layer heights would fix the quality issues. ... show more

  • Impressed with this sample pack
Color: Red-gold+red-black+black-orange+gold-cop... Size: 6 spools, 0.25kg/spool, 1.5kg/box
I’m new to 3D printing and thought the six color sample set was a good starting point for using silk PLA. When I received my set, I noticed one was brittle. So, instead of opening them all up, I decided to return them. To my surprise, I was sent a replacement at NO CHARGE! My second set worked wonderfully. I printed on both an Anycubic i3 Mega and an Anycubic Kobra 2 Pro. No issues printing, even at speeds of 240 mm/s. I’m happy with my prints and definitely their customer service. ... show more

  • Great for small projects
Color: 500g X 12 Silk Pla Bundle Size: Net Weight: 0.5kg/spool, 6kg/box, 12 Spoo...
Pro’s - a lot of colors to choose from for a low price and no major issues with the filaments Cons - a few minor flaws, but I think it has to do it more with my printer

  • I love Mika3D filaments!
Color: Blue Purple+white Green+white Blue+green... Size: 1.5KG
I have repeatedly ordered rolls of filament of different colors over the past year from Mika3D. I'm always impressed! The colors are beautiful! They come vacuum sealed. I've never had any rolls be brittle or moist. My printer has never clogged while using this filament. If you are new and still deciding on brands for filament, give this company a try. I don't see them mentioned often, but they are so worth it. ... show more

  • Probably not worth the effort needed for a casual 3D printing user
Color: 500g X 3 Silk Silver/Copper/Gold Size: 500g
I wanted to like this PLA (the Gold / Silver / Copper pack). It seemed to be the ideal choice for what I needed. Unfortunately, it just required more effort to get a good result than I was willing to put in. Visually, the filament looks great, and when I persuaded it to print successfully I was satisfied with the result. The challenge came with getting that successful print. I'm not sure if it's due to limitations with my printer (an Ender 3), my environment (Florida, albeit in an air conditioned room), or the PLA itself but I was getting a > 50% print failure rate with this when my normal failure rate with most other filaments I've tried is < 10%. It was particularly frustrating that each of the colors needed the print settings tuned individually to get an acceptable print of the same object. The most common challenges I had were as follows: * Adhesion issues. This was by far the most frequent. While the filament sticks to itself well, it often failed to stick to the printing bed. It was inconsistent though. After tuning the temperature to a value that worked well for me (205 or 210 depending on color, not the 220 stated on the spool itself), it varied between failing to stick, and sticking so tightly that the piece broke when being removed from the build plate. Printing a raft helped... except when it didn't. * Stringing. At the stated temperature of 220, there was a huge amount of stringing. This was significantly improved by using a lower temperature but still occurs as low as 200. * Snagging. Several failed prints were the result of what appeared to be situations where the filament got caught under itself on the reel. I have no idea how that happens, especially not when it occurs part way through the reel. When it did so, the strain was sufficient to break the filament. * Clogging. In a half roll of filament, the print nozzle got clogged three times. I did wonder if that was a problem with the extruder nozzle, but was able to print without issues using other (Hatchbox) filament. Hopefully this was just an issue with the specific batch(es) that were in my shipment. Overall I found that the challenges working with this were sufficient that I probably won't try using this filament again unless no other options are available. ... show more
