Hot Dog Party! @work:) I bought this hot dog maker for a fun little lunch at work. It was a huge hit! The hot dogs were a juicy golden brown and the buns warmed perfectly. I would recommend using smaller hot dogs so they can spin more uniformly.

It looks nice, and the compartment for warming really works nicely. However, I could not fit the hot dogs side by side. They weren't bun length dogs, but regular turkey dogs. I will try a regular hot dog and see how it goes.

This worked beautifully on the weiners. Only did two Hebrew National weiners. Absolutely delicious! Costco got away from Hebrew National hot dogs a few years ago and went to Kirkland. They are not as tasty. I used the 30 mns on the timer. Didn't bother with warming buns. I simply put them in a quart size Ziploc on defrost in the microwave for 20 seconds. They were soft and hot. I did think the racks for the buns were a little chintzy. There is only one drip or crumb tray that is optional to use under the buns or under the weiners. USE IT UNDER THE WEINERS. You don't want the drippings to fall onto your buns. Cleaning the rollers was awkward because you cannot remove them, but once you remove the drip tray, you can get under the rollers easily. This is perfect for a couple of people who just want to eat hot dogs and hot ones. A good buy. P.S. The company used strapping/filament tape to hold the lid and door closed. This was foolish. The gunk cannot be removed. I used a no-scratch cleaning pad and the sticky goop will not come off. They already sent this packaged with protection over the lid and door. Nothing was going to come open. It also fits snuggly in its' own box, as well. They should not have used ANY tape on this appliance. So, I have sticky unsightly areas on lid and door. It's not bad. The 3 rating is for some things that need adjustment. 1) The temperature is too hot in the bun warmer and the rollers. It would help to have a thermostat. 2) Very difficult to clean the rollers as they are too close. They can not be cleaned while cold. Hinging one side so that it can be lifted up to free the rollers would help. ... show more

NOTE : Description says you can put hotdogs or sausages side by side on the rollers. This is NOT the case. The griller is made too short for this. They should have made this item1 inch wider to accomodate standard size hotdogs. Its like the wallets you buy today.. A dollar bill doesnt quite fit longways in it.. Seriously the Manufacturer is located outside the USA so like todays clothing the measurements and size are always off. So that said. your new griller will accept 4 dogs or sausages just fine just dont expect to cram 8 dogs on the rollers side by side. It ain't happening. . Otherwise it does work well for the price. ... show more
