It is quiet and does a very good job on normal fur. For that I give it two thumbs up. But don't expect miracles on super matted cat fur as it isn't quite up to it (nor should it be as these aren't sheep shears after all). Battery life is impressive. My cat Marley had all these mats and he didn't like me trying to cut these off him. I ordered the clippers and they are so quiet. I was able to shave Marley with no problems.

This works great, and I love the dual speeds. I mostly use it on the higher speed works very well on matted pet hair, I’ve even tried it on leg hair and it works great. I highly recommend this product.

These clippers delivered as promised. It is so quiet that my cat ignores it. He's had a lot of matted fur since he is getting old and no longer grooms himself. He gives me a lot of trouble to groom him, but with these clippers I have made read progress! Great buy!
