This Andis Ultraedge size 3 3/4 carbon-edged blade Leaves hair 1/2". Yes, I use it on my husband, and it is awesome. I have no idea why anyone would worry about using it on people if they will use it on their pets, but it is great. Makes cutting his hair so much faster. The blade does a lovely cut, no split ends, and it does an excellent job of keeping the hair length even. He likes a kind of "undercut" but not one that is so close the head, so this half-inch distance is perfect. Because it is so easy to use, I can do a five minute touch up any time he wants, instead of cutting it shorter than he wants so it lasts longer, because it takes so long to do it all with scissors. Easy to control, does require working in different directions (moving up the side, moving across) in order to catch all the hairs, and that takes just a bit of practice, but it is easier than I expected. The blade is shaped to be comfortable even used against the skull (rather than the soft parts of a dog). I've tried various plastic clip on trimmer combs, and they are pretty much useless. This works entirely differently than those. Worth it for making it easier to give my husband a trim. Time saved also makes it worth every penny. ... show more

Good value when you think how much money you save on grooming… really good quality value for your money… still she as new .. yes get cleaner and oil … if you take care of your blades they will last forever.

I'm a new groomer starting out, only 3 years in. I was excited to get all of my own gear, unfortunately the blades were not very sharp. The other products I received were great tho. I had been waiting for my order so I could start grooming out of my own business. I was a bit disappointed with the blades but the scissors were fantastic. I will be ordering more of both in the future. I'm hoping it was a once in a blue moon occurrence with the blades. All and all I was satisfied with my order. Thank you Amazon ... show more

This blade is awful and I’m hoping that mine is just defective. If you don’t want to pull your dog’s hair, stay away from this blade. I want Andis to provide a refund or replacement immediately. The blade pulled on my dog’s hair without cutting anything. The blade was brand new, lubricated, and clean. I brushed and combed the dog before grooming and our Andis 10 blades worked just fine. This one was awful and just tortured my poor dog. For god’s sake, just use plastic combs and a reliable ten blade to save your dog the misery. ... show more
