  • Slides down
Size: Large
Chronic knee brace issue _slide down off knee.

  • No brace is totally comfortable but this one is superior to most. My ortho doc was impressed.
Size: Large
Very adjustable, very comfortable as braces go. The metal rods with the ROM dials are attached to the cloth sleeve by strong velcro & outer straps. They can be removed & placed where you want them. Sleeve is stretchy & well padded. Minor defect on my item is that once ROM angle is set, the dial is supposed to lock but that doesn't always work. Still, not easy to slip out of setting so not a big deal to me. Much cheaper than similar items sold in local med supply stores. ... show more

  • Way more comfortable
Size: Regular
My mom got knee surgery and they gave her an knee brace at the hospital, but they was way too big for her and very uncomfortable. I asked n showed the doctor ths brace and he approved it. I got it for her n it is just as strong and stable, but much smaller n more comfortable. I totally recommend it

  • Great for the price, but not amazing at preventing knee lockout
Size: Large
For the price it's hard to argue with. However, I bought the brace to prevent myself absent-mindedly locking out my knee, and this brace does a much better job of preventing knee bending than knee extension. I am able, even with pretty draconian settings, to lock my knee out casually. It also fits pretty snug on me despite following the sizing. I don't mind snug but if this brace *almost* fits you, the velcro will not completely overlap, and will dig into your skin, and it is pretty sharp velcro. ***Pros*** Price - About as good as you could ask for for the price. Locking Knee braces can go for $500+, and many of those aren't as good as this one. Preventing Knee Bending - This is solid for preventing contraction/bending of the knee. Lock is Easy to Use - Pretty obvious how the locks work immediately. Light and foldable - packs up easily, thin enough to wear under clothes. ***Cons*** Not Good at preventing Knee Lockout - I found that even when setting the brace to keep my leg at a near 45 degree angle, I can still stand up straight with only mild discomfort. If you are considering purchasing this to help you prevent yourself from casually locking your knee out, I would suggest getting something more heavy duty. Not Super easy get on "right" by yourself - Personally I found it, not exactly hard, but fairly fiddly to get it back on with correct tightness and positioning, without the velcro digging into me. This is probably the case for any velcro or lace based brace, but it is worth pointing out that you may need to put it on and walk around a bit, then adjust multiple times before you get it just right. ***Mixed*** Runs a bit small - I have basically never needed a large in anything, but I am 5'10", 180 Lbs, with fairly muscular thighs, so I got the Large version here according to the listed instructions. The Brace fit below my knee but only barely fit above my knee, with some adjustment though, it does fit. Velcro Discomfort - If the brace fits you but just barely, or you just put it on hastily, the velcro will not fully overlap with its connection... flap. This will cause part of the very sharp velcro strip to scratch your leg. This could be potentially alleviate by wearing it over some tights or something, but I didn't attempt it. ***Conclusion*** Overall I would say if you need to add some medium support, or prevent/restrict knee bending for a limited period of time, or need locking a brace that is easier to travel with, this is about as good as you can do for the money. ... show more

  • Helps, but does not prevent, hyperextension and you had better know how these things work already.
Size: Large
My first clue that this could be a challenge was the instructions themselves. "attach the buckled end of the strap to the knee knee surface" to the WHAT? "then use the other end to pass through the buckle, and finally fix the shoulder strap" shoulder strap on a knee brace, I think you mean thigh strap. Please someone proofread the directions! The directions say that you can place the hinges where you need them. At first glance the hinges appear to be quite solidly affixed to the sides in not quite the right place. After a great deal of effort I discovered that yes pocket does in fact come off with the heaviest velcro ever and should NOT be attempted by people with hand arthritis. I'll just leave the hinges where they are until I can have someone tear this apart for me. The dials, oh it's a good thing I have some medical background and could interpret the dials. I feel sorry for someone who has never seen anything like this before. Goggle is your friend, there are no instructions for how to read the dials. Fortunately i know what settings I needed, and also knew that the spare button locks the entire thing in position. Bet that made someone mad when they accidentally pushed it and then found their brace wouldn't move. I did measure my leg before ordering, and according to my measurements I came in on the low end of the 'large' scale. I did manage to get it on with a little overlap on the flaps, which they need for the velcro. I double checked the box to make sure that i had been sent a large thinking it was a small by mistake. Nope, it's a large. OK, let's try function. Function might be impaired by my not being able to budge the hinge position on the knee but they are mostly seated at the sides. Without a brace my knee wants to hyperextend 20 degrees, my goal was to stop that from happening. I had to fiddle with the settings but I did get it to where as I walked it would keep my knee straight, and while standing my knee was straight. Leaning on the leg it lessened the hyperextension, to about 10 degrees. Improved but not great. It's certainly better than no brace at all, and is better than other knee braces I have tried which claimed (and failed) to prevent hyperextension. I'm not unhappy enough to return it, but I will keep looking for a brace that actually blocks hyperextension. ... show more

  • Much better brace than offered at orthopedic doctors office!
Size: XX-Large
Easy to put on, adjust and remove. Extremely comfortable and offers the stability I need. Measure to get your size correct. I got this to replace brace offered at doctors office. They like it as well!
