As part of our most stable line of sport performance bracing products, the DonJoy Performance BIONIC FULLSTOP ACL Knee Brace provides the ultimate in Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) protection during recovery from injury, as well as prevention of future injury. FULLSTOP dampening hinges prevent hyperextension and help improve joint mechanics in both surgical and non-surgical knees. Through the dampening cycle of the hinge, muscle memory trains your body to keep both the braced and un-braced knees out of the "at risk" zone. Compression and thermal heat regulation technology in the brace keep you from overheating during exertion. Anti- migration technology prevents sleeve movement, even during your movement. The adjustable straps on the brace enable users to have greater customizability for a more secure, personal fit. The brace is also equipped with reflectivity for enhanced visibility in low-light conditions. Was skeptical from all the reviews but I am so glad a took a chance and purchased this brace. Needed something to replace a brace received from urgent care. In rehab for ACL and meniscus injury for the last 3 months. Ortho was going to order a custom brace but recommend this instead for my immediate needs. Wow this brace does not disappoint. Love the compression feel and ithe way it hugs the knee for ultimate support. Feels way better than my other brace. It has a little bit of odor when you take out of box but it will go away. A pretty expensive brace, but worth the money in my opinion. Important for sizing, pay attention to the measurements across the middle. If this is too small the hinge will be difficult to position comfortably on your knee. Size up if needed to get the middle measurement correct for your knee. The upper and lower measurements can be a little loose as the adjustable straps will make up for it. ... show more

I wore the brace for about 4 hours the day I received it. Earlier reviews advised sizes ran small, so being a short person with slender legs, I ordered a size medium. On arrival, I slipped on brace, good fit. I wore the brace for about 5 hours the 1st day, seemed okay, stabilized my knee, but did notice some rubbing against inner knee bone. Put the brace on next day, rubbed terribly against my inner knee bone as the area was already irritated from use day before. Not enough padding between the very hard metal spline and my knee bone. I and a physical therapist both tried everything we could think of to add padding and adjusting the metal spline. Nothing worked. Unable to wear brace due to bad rubbing against inner knee bone. works great very supportive I bought mine to wear when I was snowboarding to help from farther injures only thing is after prolonged periods of wear the inner brace rubs on caff causing discomfort.

I bought one of these in 2020 for a knee that has a very loose ACL from a failed replacement and a trimmed meniscus. I had been unable to ski without injuring other tendons and ligaments. Since buying it in 2020, I have more than 250 days of aggressive alpine, skate, and backcountry skiing (including some multi-day backcountry forays). It's been a game changer for me. I tore my ACL and tried 2 cheaper braces that didn't have enough support and still allowed my knee to pop out of place. This one holds my knee as securely as is possible while I do PT, in advance of surgery. It gives me the ability and confidence to move around and keep my muscles strong. I'm not sure if I'll be able to put it on right after surgery bc it is a sleeve, but once the swelling goes down enough, I'll be wearing this one. I had to size up to a M, even though I measured S.
