Misjudged the distance from the curb to the street and came down hard on my right foot which resulted in pain up my leg. A few months later, my knee felt like it was hyperextending when I walked. Had to use a cane for support and curtail 90% of my walking. Am slowly getting better but the hyperextension feeling isn't going away. My daughter said her friends recommended this type of knee strap/brace so I figured I could always return it if it didn't do the job. Well, it really works...not perfectly, but well enough that I can walk without that hyperextension feeling. To look at it, you wouldn't think this thing could do anything beneficial but I can tell you it -does- let me walk with 90% pain relief. I do get an occasional twinge but, if this strap lets me eliminate the need for surgery, I'm buying some spares. Bottom line: It not expensive, it's well-made, and it works. ... show more

I was hoping this would be a cheap high value product, unfortunately it only gave me walking support and little to no running support. The build quality seemed on par with most other products and the size fits a wide range of widths for the knee as it is expandable. My mobility wasn't inhibited as it gave moderate support while walking and stayed in place while running. The value for what you play is good but if you need high impact support you'll need to look elsewhere. ... show more

I had been to the doctor and received a cortisone injection for pain in the knee, at first the injection worked, for a day then walking from my car to the office my knee pain became severe, I couldn’t put weight on my leg. I was scooting around on an office chair to get around, midday I had an appointment with urgent care. I got crutches and a soft cast type thing and could at least get around. I had already ordered these and once they arrived I put them aside thinking things were beyond their capabilities. The leg cast thingy was a bit of a problem, it would slide down when moving about. I was putting a considerable amount of pressure on the other leg so I placed one of these on the good leg. There seemed to be less strain and it felt like I may be protecting the good knee using this. I decided to place this on the bad knee (that is why I got them) while I slept and the pain was greatly reduced. I can move about now, one nights sleep later with this and feel far less pain. Just to continue with more information I was crossing my leg prior to getting these, trying to put pressure on the side of my knee where the pain was. Placing pressure on the outside of the knee helped with the pain, these squeeze that very spot I was putting pressure on. Not knowing a thing about knees or medicine I can confidently say that these skinny bands helped where no one else could. No knock on doctors intended, these worked to allow me to get back on my feet. ... show more

I pulled the tendons on the lateral and mid side of my right knee, as well as in the patella. I had been wearing a knee brace for 6 weeks. Now that the problem appears to be solved, this is the next step to more comfort and less bulkiness. I will, of course, check with the physical therapist.y
