Very easy to assemble. The battery for the car is chargeable but you will need to buy 2 AA batteries for the remote. It is not a big car. I would say it is smaller than most remote control cars. It is a good inexpensive toy, nothing more. It has a cool appearance, just is what it is. It is of course slower than kids want it to be, but that is at times a plus since it cannot do as much damage to things inside the house. Haha.
