Took it to Ford and had the programming done. It would lock, unlock and remote start the car, but not allow you to drive, or start normally. Got home and setup a return because the dealer thought it was the wrong key. I got in the car to drop it off for return, but just by chance, tried starting the car with the new key in the hidden slot below the cup holders.     • The frequency for this controller is a four and a 2018 Ford edge is a three
I had the key cut and it couldn’t be programmed because a 2018 key is a frequency three and the ad said 2016 through 2022 and that’s not true so this controller Doesn’t activate the alarm so it’s kind of a waste of money good for a spare key though open the door and it would work on the keypad.

Yes it works but beware. You'll need TWO genuine Ford keys before you can program this one on a 2022 model.

The two fobs look identical with the exception of the Ford emblem on the back of my original. There is a noticeable difference in weight, this item being heavier. I haven't had it programmed yet, but will amend my review when I do.
