These weights are very well thought out. They are solid and as compact as a regular dumbbell. Not bulky and They do NOT rattle as you use them. So that is great. The way they twist on is very smooth almost like a bearing. The finish in the normal version is plenty fine I like that it feels durable and not thin. Issues that I would have is the foam grip could be more firm. It has a little wiggle to it if you aren't gripping tight enough. To adjust them it may not be as fast also but I think that's a good trade for it not rattling as you use them. ... show more

This product has form and function dialed-in. The look of clean, chrome steel, the solid, simple but elegant construction, and the modularity come together to make my new favourite dumbbells. When I hold it in my hands, I can tell that the manufacturer cares about making a sturdy, quality product. It is also packaged with care. I appreciate this. I am happy with this product, but for the price, I would have liked a carrying case to come with it. Excellent quality, comfortable grip. If you need to change weights during an exercise fast you may want to consider a different system, or a set of non-adjustable weights. For my use pattern this set suits me just fine. Judged on the merits of its target use it is an excellent product.
