I started using the Row machine April 18. It is June 27 and I have lost 11lbs and feel great! I row 5 days a week because it is fun with so many different workouts on I-Fit. I generally do not care for long reviews so bottom line this is a product that lives up to all expectations. Here are details: I started out slow. Physical set up was easy if you read the directions. Yes, I had to call tech support to get my system updated but they were great and I was only on hold for about 20 minutes. I could gripe about the initial internet set up since I had the machine in the basement and there was a weak signal. It took me a day or two to figure out a solution. I use my wifi jet pack to give me a strong signal and after my call to tech support I have had zero issues in my 50+ workouts. In other words if you have a good internet signal there are no issues to speak of. If your internet is weak you may have I-fit issues and you need the I-Fit on the big screen to make the row machine experience work. So how about the machine. Row is smooth and easy to use screen is awesome. My wife was new to the Machine and after a few of the I-Fit beginner Row programs she was also off to the races. We have separate accounts under the one I-Fit membership. This is really important as I-Fit work outs are designed to have resistance match the use profile for height, weight, sex etc. Ok now I am going to rave a bit. I-Fit is amazing on the machine. The workouts give you the choice of just Rowing or hitting the floor mat for body weight exercises. You can focus on your core, strength, cardio, endurance you name it and there is a program for it. Once you browse the trainers and workouts you can add them to your favorites so you can find them right away on the screen. A lot of the trainers ( I have my favorites and so does my wife) have series so there are between 5 and 10 workouts in the series that you can do to progressively challenge yourself. Then the machine tracks all your workouts and captures all your data so you can see what you have accomplished. You can also find workouts as short as 10 minutes and as long as an hour. The trainers also are doing workouts designed for the rower and they get creative using the machine for stretching and isolation exercises. You can see in my picture I have space and put the machine on my sons hockey tiles. You do not have to have that and the machine does store well. You do need some space to do some of the floor exercises where you use the sliding seat. I-Fit has an app on your phone and so when I went on vacation i switched to programs that did not use the Row machine and found so many awesome ones that I still use them. I recommend the following I-Fit trainers -Gideon Akande, Anja Garcia,hannah Eden, Alex Silver Fagen,Desmond Nanchengwa & John Peel. I am sure you find the ones that motivate you! < 1 day use Ease of assembly The estimated time to assembly presented on Amazon was ~4 hours. The assembly instructions were clearly laid out from organization of hardware to the assembly diagrams and instruction in the manual. iFit Activation iFit account activation was not included in the delivery, nor communicated in email upon purchase from Amazon. However, using the chat feature available in the lower right-hand corner of the itfit.com website proved an efficient way to acquire the authorization code. Be prepared to provide a photocopy of the receipt through the chat. Quality iFit instructors We've tried two iFit videos (Quick Burn with Jay Wein and Strength and Flexibility with Briohny Smyth) and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of instructors, as well as the effort by the videography team for excellent editing, sets and routine layout. Wow! Minor software glitch: The iFit algorithms do not recognize a non-rowing activity. (Error: Session did not save because you rowed less than 8 m.) The yoga and some strength videos do not have a rowing component. The end result is no "credit" for participating in activity and no ability to rate the video. Easy fix? Sturdiness Purchased this machine mainly for my 15 year old son. He is 6 feet 3 inches tall and 190 lbs. When he uses it, the seat makes a creaking noise during periods of higher reps and resistance levels above ~15, which has planted an as-yet-substantiated seed of doubt regarding the equipment's longevity. The monitor starts to vibrate in harmony with vibration of the wheel again at higher reps and resistance levels to the point of impaired visibility of the video on display.     • Updated - Rower Fan Malfunctioning and Repeated Connectivity Issues

The media could not be loaded. Update: I've been having a lot of issues with the iFit connectivity. The app will drop the connection mid workout and often will completely close out the workout. Other times, the drop in connectivity also drops the resistance, which when it happens during midrow can be dangerous for the user! I called support multiple times and they are finally sending me a replacement monitor to see if that addresses the issue, though the time to ship the replacement is 4 weeks. Earlier this week, I also started to have issues with the resistance fan. It makes a really loud clicking sound during release, the wheel shakes from side to side, and I'm paranoid that by continuing to row, I may break this expensive machine. I reached out to ICON for support and have been waiting 4 days now for someone to help. They did ask that I record a video of the issue, so I did and am also adding it here. Based on these issues, I would no longer recommend this machine. For the price, it is not of high build quality nor is it reliable for regular home workouts. I'm spending more time troubleshooting than I am actually rowing - and that's a big problem. Original: I really love this machine. It was easy to set up and I like that it can fold. I purchased this back in June 2020 and have been using it pretty consistently. There have been many "over the air" enhancements since I originally bought it (like the ability to connect to Bluetooth headphones, improvements in the iFit app). Speaking of the iFit app, I got a free 1 year trial with the machine (I had to the service number to get the activation code, but it was about a 5min detour - nothing difficult). I LOVE IFIT. There is a huge variety of workouts and several of the rower-based workouts incorporate off-rower exercises (HIIT, weight lifting, stretching/yoga). The interface is very user friendly and can sync to phone or TV apps. Plus, there are monthly challenges to that encourage one to try new features/exercises/trainers.
