We have been making resin projects for 3 years now. When we started, about half of our projects didn't ever harden and we wasted a ton of resin. I'm sure some of it was user error. I'm also sure, it was the resin brands we were using. We tried 4 or 5 different resins and then I found this one 2 years ago and we won't be switching again!! I've bought 8 gallons so far! It has almost no bubbles. ( others were full of both microbubbles and big ones.) This brand is so clear! I love the look! It has a fantastic work time! 35 to 45 minutes before it gets too thick to pour. It does get warm but it does not get hot. One of the brands we tried even started smoking and it was burning my hand holding the container! This resin is just the right amount of thick. I pour it in the mold and it levels off, seeping down to to cover the bottom and sides. Dice molds require poking the corners with a toothpick but the resin by itself does a fantastic job on almost everything else. We were having a lot of holes around the rims of our resin before, but this resin doesnt have that issue! It takes me 3 to 4 minutes to mix the resin. I sit the resin in a sink full of hot water for a few minutes. I measure the hardener first. Then I measure the warmed resin into the same container and mix slowly. Scraping the sides and bottom now and then. When it's not cloudy anymore it's ready. It has turned out perfect every single time in the past 2 years. It doesn't stick to the mold. I like that it is a very clear, minimal bubble resin. It’s easy to work and doesn’t have a harsh odor (it has a smell, but is not offensive). I did find that it is a bit too thin to keep glitter particles suspended. My pieces with glitter or gold flakes all turned out with it on the bottom only. I also found that it’s not ideal with alcohol inks, specifically with “petri” effects as the alcohol inks settled much too heavily on the bottom causing unsightly large splotches. I will probably continue to purchase and use as it’s a great price point and the free accessories are great. But I will be limiting its use to clear top coats or projects without added glitter or flakes. ... show more

I've been on a DIY spree lately, tackling small projects around the house. This led me to discover the Nicpro Crystal Clear Epoxy Resin Kit, which has now become a staple in my crafting arsenal. The kit is as comprehensive as they come - it packs a 0.5 gallon of resin and 0.5 gallon of hardener, along with a bunch of handy accessories like measuring cups, silicone sticks, and gloves. They even throw in user instructions, which were clear and easy to follow. The first project I tackled was a mini river table. Mixing the epoxy was a breeze, thanks to the 1:1 ratio which takes the guesswork out of the equation. The 30-minute work time was ample for me to pour and spread the resin. I was pleasantly surprised to see no bubbles forming as I worked the epoxy - this kit is self-degassing as advertised! As for the curing, it went off without a hitch. I left it to cure overnight and by next morning, my table had that high gloss, crystal clear finish that I was hoping for. The epoxy hardened well with no sticky or tacky spots. I appreciate that this epoxy is non-toxic and has a low odor, which made working with it indoors comfortable. Plus, the UV stabilizer and yellowing resistance are great additions for long-term clarity. Love, ❤️, Love NicPro epoxy resin! I was using amazing clear cast, Not anymore! That stuff turns yellow after time...This stuff is easy to mix, I was just using a popsicle stick which is a NONO but only stirred about 1 minute and got the hard gold coin with minimal bubbles. Can't wait to use the sticks it comes with. This set is 1/2 gal A 1/2 gal B. It also was packaged in a nice box, the epoxy is like plastic wrapped and tight! Plus the lids dont stick after using, easy to open with my arthritic hands...A bag of gloves the ones I don't like tho, 2 yellow scrapers, a short silicone stick and a long one I love it!!! Instead of the gloves maybe put in another stick :).... love this stuff and the price... nice job NicPro... 👏 👍 ... show more

I have gone through about 12 or so gallons of this resin for my business, and I wouldn’t switch to any other brand at this point. This resin is easy to use and suitable for beginners and professionals alike. Working time is about 30-40 minutes, and I keep my room at about 74-77 degrees Fahrenheit while pouring. There are some bubbles if you mix too roughly, but if you are gentle and slow with your stirring I hardly have any issues, and the bubbles that do form generally float to the top within a few minutes. Odor is fairly low, but I use ventilation to suck out any fumes. This resin cures very fast, some pieces within 8 or so hours. Smaller, thinner things generally take about 24 hours for me. This resin is both affordable and high quality and I really do enjoy its ease of use when I create my art. I would definitely recommend to anyone! ... show more

I liked that this resin was clear and had almost no air bubbles in it but the smell was very very strong and it seems brittle and it cracks. I have used other resins before with no difficulty and not only did this product crack and seem brittle but it took way longer than it should have to harden . I measured it very carefully and mixed it very well like the directions say. I even had to tape up the sides of my smaller trays and bowls to keep the shape. So for smaller flatter projects it might be okay. ... show more
