I’ve been bombarded by TV ads for this product for months and months, and I finally caved. My pits do have their own personal smell, which, to be honest, smells a lot like everyone else’s pits smell like. Pitty. I decided to give this product a shot and boy, am I glad I did. It works beautifully. I haven’t done the 72 hour challenge, but I’ve done more than 48, and I can hardly smell anything, other than the light scent of the deodorant. Now, some people will say that this product smells horribly, some people won’t. I think this is just a case of whether you have that gene or not, like the cilantro/soap gene, or the pork/urine gene (look it up, seriously). But, if you DON’T havethat gene, this works like crazy. I bought the sample pack, because I wanted to try it out, and because I wanted to see what scent I liked the best. (no use dropping a bundle on a scent you don’t like, right?) And so far, every one I’ve tried has been a winner. The other thing is, you might have to get used to rubbing the cream into your armpit (just the TINIEST bit works. I don’t normally leave long winded reviews. But I almost didn’t buy this because of all the negative comments. I kept coming back to it and decided to give it a try. So I am going to tell you my experience and it might take a minute. The most unhelpful comments I read prior to purchase were people complaining about the size of the samples. These are .5 ounces each (that’s a half ounce). This is clearly stated in the details of the listing. Like CLEARLY. Taking stars off because the samples are the size stated is not fair to the seller. I was not surprised by the size when the package came because it is exactly as advertised. EXACTLY. There are lots of comments about this smelling bad but it doesn’t. Each one smells the way you would expect. They smell like deodorant in the specific scent printed on the tube. I would say take those comments with a grain of salt. I’m not sure why there are so many complaints about that. I really don’t understand. This works. It does exactly what it says it does. It eliminates odor. So, if that’s your jam, try it! This is not an antiperspirant as clearly stated in the details, and I was wondering if this would be a problem but surprisingly this didn’t bother me. I don’t notice much perspiration at all. Like I said, I’m a little surprised. I was surprised by some of the comments about value for the money. These are sample sizes. I would not expect them to last me for weeks/months. A little bit of this goes a long way. If something is not in your budget then don’t buy it. Find something that fits your budget. I don’t think this is expensive and comparing Lume’s regular sized products with comparable products, they are competitive in price. Are there cheaper products? Yes. But I think this is worth the money and will buy a regular sized container of this here shortly. Anyway, this is my review. I hope you find it helpful. I recommend this product. I am really glad I tried it. If you want to try this product, like I did, the sample size is a good way to do it.     • Scents need work

Loved the idea of a whole body, aluminum free deodorant, have been looking @ Lume for a while. This starter pack was the perfect way to try it. Let's be clear, these are trial/travel sizes as listed. Lots of complaints about the size, but the listing tells you exactly what you are getting. I have had this for 6 weeks, use it daily and am on the 3rd tube. This really does go on like a lotion. I like that I can put it in "other places" and it does not leave residue on my clothes and it rubs in completely. I did not experience any irritation and yes, I even tried "under the hood." It's winter, so I haven't been able to really stress test it. I don't think I would wear it on my underarms on a hot sunny day, I think I would get something stronger. I like it for how I'm using it now, though. Here's where it definitely needs work - the scents. People mentioned a diaper rash cream scent and I'd have to agree. With the Tangerine, it seemed to go away but I can't get passed it on the other scents. I don't consider myself picky with that sort of thing, but the Tangerine is the only one I liked. I had toasted coconut on and thought that parts of my home had a weird smell...turns out it was me. I would buy the Tangerine, but that's it. These little tubes are perfect to throw in any bag to have in case of an emergency. They are also not a huge commitment if you don't like it. Lume is the first aluminum free, whole body deodorant I have tried, so I'll try some of the others before really committing to this. I do feel like it makes a huge difference between my thighs. The fact that there is no irritation and it rubs in smoothly with no residue keeps this in the running for sure. ... show more
