This is the best monitor for parents- there are countless features that make me feel more confident in letting my baby sleep in their room! First things- knowing I can always check on my baby no matter where I am has been a game changer. I love that with my insights membership I can always see how long my baby has been asleep and use that information to understand if they need their schedule adjusted - I can do all of this when I’m not even at home! I also love the two way talk feature so I can talk to my now toddler when she wakes up in the morning! Nanit is probably the first product I recommend to all my expecting friends! I am a first time mom and this is the second monitor I have tried. The first was cheap, the picture was not clear and way zoomed in. I wish I had done more research and bought this one first, the features that some moms say are extra and not worth the extra money are the very reason I love this monitor. This monitor provides a clear picture of the full crib and “parent pickup area”. I love that I can easily remove the camera from the wall mount and use it with the flex stand anywhere we need. It’s great having the monitor as an app on my phone so I don’t have to carry around or make sure an additional device is charged. So many awesome features, like tracking sleep patterns and even growth. I can check the room temp and humidity easily. The biggest selling point for me was the breathing band, my daughter has reflux and sleeps propped up, which made me nervous for her breathing and her squirming into an unsafe position. This monitor alerts whenever breathing changes to an unsafe level and it alerts if she is moving or making noise. Overall great easy to use monitor and 100% worth the money. ... show more

I received enough value to justify the price, but there are obvious flaws with the product. On the plus side, the camera works well, the app is easy to use (even without the premium features), and even with average bandwidth we never have any issue with the video loading. The data on the baby sleeping in the app is fun to review, although having for most people having the data likely won't result in improved sleep. I like being able to receive noise / movement alerts, although there are a number of false positive movement alerts (receive alerts even when there is nothing in the room that could possibly activate it). On the negative, the hardware installation is poorly designed. The included plastic anchors were flimsy and broke even when using the right drill size. The sheet is also a gimmick. It is not as soft as a standard sheet and, even with the sheet, you still have to manually enter the location of the baby's joints. ... show more

The Nanit has been, without a doubt, the best purchase we’ve made since becoming parents. We bought it a few days after our daughter was born because I felt one night that she wasn't breathing right. That same night, I ordered this camera, and it has truly been a lifesaver. I set it up in the nursery right next to my bed (you might wonder why a camera is needed if the baby is right there, but let me explain!). Initially, I woke up every 10 minutes due to anxiety about whether my baby was breathing. I was terrified of SIDS and constantly worried. The first night with the camera, I kept checking to ensure everything was working. But on the second night, something magical happened – I slept for the first time since she was born. This camera alleviated my anxiety about my baby’s breathing, allowing me to rest peacefully. It brought my sanity back, making it worth every penny. Now, two years later, we still use it, mainly as a nanny cam when she's playing in her room since she sleeps through the night now. This monitor continues to provide peace of mind. If your baby stops breathing, an alarm sounds from the camera and on all phones with the app – it’s loud and scary but incredibly reassuring. *A tip: if you remove the chest strap, don’t place it in the crib or nearby with the patterns facing up, as it might trigger a false alarm. I love everything about this monitor – seeing her sleep patterns, tips, BPM, little videos – it's all amazing. Honestly, I can’t recommend it enough. The camera quality is exceptional and the fact that you can use multiple cameras with a split screen is very helpful. With out twins we were able to simply use one cameras which was able to cover both twins. You don’t need the subscription after all save some money and just do the basic monitoring. We loved the fact that you have the temp and audio playback with motion. It really does give you peace of mind. With that said there are some very interesting aspects of the installation which are not talked about that I would highly highly look into. For instance the wall mounted camera comes with a 14 ft cord however only 10ft of that cord is actually covered by the plastic on the wall. This leaves 4 ft of cord not covered near the outlet. Now especially in a nursery this is a lot of unused cord and was scary to both my wife and I. We almost returned the item because of this as on the product there are stickers everywhere that reference the possibility of strangulation. With that said I’m not sure why the cord is so long and not covered. As a result of the length of the cord we purchased a much smaller one to conceal the cord which ended up doing the trick. Our Nanit has worked great otherwise and would recommend the product. ... show more
