I bought this because I carry a lot of tension in my shoulders, neck and mid back. It came at the right time and I tried as soon as I received it. Was like instant relief. If you are sensitive or can't handle a more intense/deep muscle massage this is not for you.

Its a great back massager. Have been using it almost every day in the morning while I sip my coffee and have this heated back massager relax me. Its a great product if your work is mostly desk job and want a good circulation every now and then. And ofcourse it does work when you actually have a back pain.     • Faulty from the start. -- UPDATE
This massager has been faulty from the beginning. Initially, I thought it wouldn't turn on or would shut off mid-massage because of the position I had it in, so I changed positions multiple times and had the same problem. I jiggled the power cord, and sometimes it worked; other times, it didn't even turn on, or it shut off while in use. I even opened it up inside, but couldn't find anything to adjust to make it work consistently. I loved the car cord that allowed me to use it while in the car, but I can't take advantage of that feature since it won't turn on. As for when it did work, the parts that turn are plastic underneath the material cover, and I could feel the plastic as it was turning. It was a little bit hard and bumpy (uncomfortable, but not painful), especially on higher settings, but I was able to ignore that so my pain could be eased. Maybe I just got a faulty massager. I can't say don't buy it, but send it back immediately if the power button gives you ANY trouble. UPDATE: company replaced my massager and the new one works consistently so far. The customer service was very easy to work with and prompt in responding and correcting my issue. ... show more
