The picture quality is one of the poorer quality pictures when compared to other motorola baby monitors. We'd been using it less than a week and all of the sudden the camera went out and the monitor only showed a red camera picture with a line thru it. No matter all of our attempts to reset the monitor and re-pair the camera it didn't work. The pairing light on the camera stays on permanently now when plugged in, so no matter what you try to do, you cannot reset the pairing to attempt to try ro resolve the issue. I've seen this happen to others in these reviews. Transitioning the baby out of a bassinet to a nursery crib can take time. We installed this in the nursery and starting using it for baby's daytime naps, which were a few hours at a time max. By the time our baby was in the nursery full time, we'd only used if for overnight sleep twice and then while adjusting the monitor one day, it just totally stopped working. So... by the time we really needed it to work, the return period on the device was over... so no returns for the faulty equipment. Tbh, this is cheap garbage and I should have know given the price point. I was unsatisfied with the bad picture quality even when it was installed and working for those first few days, so it would not have been a good solution in the long run. This is a great monitor for the price. I did not want to spend hundreds of dollars on a baby monitor. We have used the same exact one since my 3 year old was born and just bought an additional one for our new baby. The one that ia 3 years old is still in great condition. This is excellent durability. Also very easy to use and connect to your phone. Picture quality is also very good can zoom in and move around without having to adjust the actual camera. Highly recommend this! ... show more

I bought this on sale returned the next day it would not connect no matter how many times I pressed the reset button it would make a loud noise and not do anything I even tried to connect it to my phone app and it would not connect either. Price may seem really good but the product quality/connectivity is bad. Spend the extra money and buy a better one!! ... show more

I purchased this baby monitor as a secondary camera to the Motorola PIP1610. I absolutely love my other Motorola baby monitor and wanted a cheaper second camera that connected to the same app. I knew when purchasing this camera that the picture quality would not be as good as my other camera just based on price point, but I was okay with that because it is advertised as being able to connect to the Motorola app, and that was my ultimate goal. However, this camera will not connect to the app no matter what I try. I was able to get it to connect to the monitor, but if you want this camera to also connect to the Motorola app do not buy. ... show more

I really wish I had listened to the other reviewers. But it was on sale, there was an additional $20 off, and it’s for our almost 3 year old who’s a great sleeper and probably won’t need a monitor much longer anyway, so I figured “how bad can it be?” The answer…so, SO bad. Everything the other reviewers complained about was spot on. This is our first day using the camera. We realized before nap time that the magnet base was indeed too weak to hold the unit in place because of the cord placement. We added some tape to help support it and it seemed to work. During nap, I realized how grainy the picture really is. Really poor quality video, which is a problem for us since this is for our toddler and her bed is across the room. It was also flickering and couldn’t adjust well to night vision. By the time bedtime came around it was still up thanks to the tape. Unfortunately the tape gave way and now I’m staring at my wall and floor. Monitor battery is garbage. I saw that complaint and thought “no big we only need it for a 45 minute nap and for the 1-2 hours at night before we go to bed too.” At 45 minutes into the night, monitor was already down to 1 bar out of 4. I may just try to make it work since I got it for so cheap and it is for my 3 year old. But I would never EVER rely on this for a baby. ... show more
