Update: emailed communications with the customer service for about a month and the agent kindly explained and tried to find the solution for this matter. Resetting everything but it didn’t not work and I was able to get replacement. Wrong item delivered and some hiccup between and due to inconvenience Motorola showed me generosity and sent me a whole new replacement. Returned my old unit and it has been working perfectly fine. Issues were resolved and I am happy we have now working monitor/camera again! Edit: contacted Motorola customer service regarding about the issue I was having. Kindly explaining what could cause the issues and how to resolve. It was still under warranty and emailing with the customer service few times and it could be something wrong with the handheld monitor so they will send me the replacement at no cost. Hoping the new monitor will be better . We bought this in feb to replaced 3 yrs old minor from Summer infant. This was the worst monitor ever. It has volume setting on main monitor and even with the full. Volume I can barely hear the sound anymore (as I'm wiring this on Nov 15 2020) The lag between we speak through the monitor and she responds is just terrible. I talked to her and when I'm done she's already responding back to me and my side if speaker won't catch what she says due to the lag. It wasnt this bad at first time, it was working just fine for few months. the plug in on the monitor is loose and doesn't charge charge correctly even with plugged in and it make loud annoying low battery sounds. Trying to connect to charge and staying on to charge every single night. The camera in get room started light up by Itself even with the monitor is off(there seeing to turn the light on the camera in the room and access through monitor and app) felt creep to find out the light suddenly turned on bcz it can be accessed through the app. Night vision is ok, quality can be better, battery life sucks, over all I don't wish for anybody to spend this much and won't even last a year!! Idk if we get a defective item or not but I'm so disappointed and had a huge expectation for this company. ... show more

Update: I have used this for over a year now & have a couple complaints. 1. I wanted to purchase an additional child camera to use with my monitor & customer service was awful to communicate with in order to find out how to purchase it since there are no Amazon listings for it or that option on the website. I was disappointed to eventually learn (after 20 messages, sending pictures of everything back & fourth etc.) that you can only order it by phone? And that it was only $20-30 cheaper than ordering a whole new camera & monitor? Complaint 2. Our monitor charger stopped working & now I’m lost on how to get a replacement without dealing with their horrible customer service. I have used this monitor for almost a year and wanted to wait to review it so I could give a good description. This has been one of my best baby purchases. I love that this monitor has the option to be used alone or by connecting to WiFi & using the app. We primarily use the monitor so we can use our phone for other things & still keep an eye on the baby but I like the app option for if I’m away from home & want to check in. The quality of video is great. The monitor range is awesome, it doesn’t cut out anywhere in our house, I can take it into my yard or check the mail & it still works perfectly. I like that I can shut the screen off temporarily & just have sound, or turn the sound all the way off & just watch the video. I’m trying to think of a complaint & I remember when I first got it feeling like the blue light (for night vision) was really bright, we put a little piece of black electrical tape on it to dim it some but it didn’t make a huge difference, I just got used to it, it doesn’t seem to bother my daughter either, I’m not really sure how I expected for it to work in pitch black without it anyhow! ... show more

I’ve been using this product for 5 months now. Overall it’s a good product. I wanted something compatible with an app over WiFi and also with a monitor and there aren’t many on the market. However now that I’m actually using it for its intended purpose, I find that I didn’t need the app capability, just the monitor. We use white noise in the baby’s room and so the app is constantly sending noise notifications even with sensitivity turned way down. So I don’t even use it, now it’s useless. Also, sometimes the camera just won’t work, even though WiFi and everything is working and on. We have to go into his room while he’s sleeping and move it around. Sometimes the sound doesn’t work. Same fix. There’s no rhyme or reason to why or when they don’t work. A few other design flaws. The camera is difficult to position at certain angles. We installed a shelf to the side and above the crib, and the camera doesn’t bend enough to view the crib. Also, the monitor has the speaker on the back, so if you’re in bed and have it with you, you either can’t hear (sound muffled) or can’t see the image (face down). We’ve missed the baby crying before if the monitor isn’t standing up correctly. And lastly, not a huge deal, but now our baby is fascinated with lights, the little blue light in the camera emits a pretty bright radiance. It’s a big room and almost lights up the whole room. I’m going to put tape over it. Overall, I could have saved a lot of money for just a simple camera and monitor. But I do like the picture quality and the temperature.
