I've submitted a warranty claim to Motorola and they're sending me a new camera but I was disappointed that I needed a new camera to begin with. After working fine for a few weeks just sitting on a dresser we decided to mount the camera on the wall to get a better view of the entire room. After just a day on the wall the camera will no longer focus. Something must be off/loose internally to be this affected by a slight angle when the camera is sold with a flexible mount that says you can place it anywhere. We swapped the non-focusing camera for the other one which was in use on a shelf in our playroom and again had the same issue of the camera no longer focusing after about a day. It looks like we're looking through water and there are odd shadows on the night vision view. Very disappointed that this has happened with both cameras in the set and we hope it does not happen with the replacements which should arrive in the next couple weeks. We love our first motorola halo monitor and wanted to purchase a compatible set to have all the cameras connect to the same parent unit. ... show more

I really wanted to like this monitor but it just didn’t work well. We even got a replacement for a separate issue and still aren’t happy with it. We got a 2 camera system. One camera kept disconnecting and finally wouldn’t connect at all, so we got a replacement, which took one month. Then one of the cameras in the replacement didn’t work. There was an issue with the lens and the picture was blurry. Cleaning didn’t help and the issue also meant it couldn’t connect to the app (needs to “see” a QR code). We used one camera from the old set and one camera from the new set to make a working pair. But on the second night of use, it was clear that it just doesn’t work well. The patrol mode turned off on its own during the night. Then the sound on the split screen view switched to the other camera on its own. This meant that we were completely unable to hear our baby for most of the night, on a night when we needed the monitor the most (while she was sick with RSV). The app doesn’t work well. You can’t navigate away from the app without the sound turning off and you can’t record video. Even worse, the lag on the video is extreme. It will continue to show your child moving around in bed for several minutes even when they’re out of bed. Even if you’re sitting there holding them while looking at the app! This happened multiple times. The entire monitor is unreliable. Essentially, this monitor failed to do all of its most important functions. The sound didn’t stay on all night. The patrol mode didn’t work. The video stream lagged worse than any I have encountered. We used it with only one camera for a few months and it worked better (since there wasn’t another camera to switch sound) but we bought this specifically for the 2 camera system. Bought this item and the first camera worked perfectly, the second camera was blurry and would not focused. Returned it and got another camera, same issue. Motorola doesn't have any online support team to address.

    • Worse range than older model

We ordered this device as we have had the same one for the last four years and the volume had started to go. Otherwise we’d been quite happy with it. Our old one never had the full range to work in every room in our house, however I’d expect the new one to at least work in the same rooms that our old one did that is the same model. But no, at least every other night it beeps multiple times in the middle of the night saying it’s out of range of my son’s bedroom, which is only two doors down. I’m then woken up and trying to fiddle with the positioning and eventually restarting it and it miraculously stops. The range is worse downstairs in our kitchen also. I’m so disappointed for the cost of this device for it to be worse than the same one bought a few years earlier. If anything you would think the range had improved, not worsened. ... show more

We bought this product a few months ago and finally started using it two nights ago. The screen that comes with the cameras worked two times and now it has stopped working. We are going to have to buy another monitor. Don’t buy this product.

We purchased this in June 2022 and it stopped working the following December. It won’t charge. We got new chargers/adapters and it won’t charge after we switched them out for new ones. It beeps continuously saying low battery even while it’s plugged into working chargers and outlets. It’s also very delayed when it comes to sound and though it claimed to be great for bigger houses. It does not reach the range as described. I wouldn’t recommend getting this product but if you do, purchase the protection plan ... show more
