We bought this monitor for our second child as we had the original version of this monitor for our first and we loved it! The old version was no longer available so we bought the new version and immediately regretted it. They may look the same, but this new version is a complete waste of money. We should have listened to the poor reviews but we thought it would be similar to the old version which we love so we bought it anyway. The sound is such low quality that you have to turn the volume all the way up and even then you can hardly hear the baby cry. The sound also cuts out so instead of a steady noise, you hear breaks in the sound every other second. The buttons on the monitor that allow you to move the camera worked for about 2 weeks and now they do not work anymore so the camera will not move for us. We wanted to share as we are very disappointed in the new version of this monitor, especially at its price point. ... show more

Within about a week of using this monitor the cord starting being difficult to get to charge. We would have to finagle with it, so we returned. Unbelievably, the 2nd one did the same thing. Unfortunately we left it at a house we don’t stay at a lot and now cannot return it, and after using probably 60 nights total it now will not even turn on. Absolutely horrible quality. We have a cheap Walmart one at another house that is way better than this. ... show more

At first I didn't have any issues with setting up and running. But after a short bit (maybe a month?), it started to become super finicky and pretty much worked only when it wanted to. It does seem like it has a weird mix of great quality build but has bad quality hardware. Other than that, I was happy with it as it did what I expected it to do.
