The good: they do work to deter mosquitoes and other flying pests. The bad: package says they should work "up to 60 minutes" per stick. Not even close -- these burn for 20 to *maybe* 30 minutes at best, so you will be going through a lot of them in just a short time. I wish they lasted longer, but again, they do work. ... show more

I got these mosquito repellent incense sticks last summer and it was wonderful. You simply light them up then plug them into the grass in different spots or surrounding the areas where your kids will be playing or having outdoor meals and you now have a barrier against mosquitos. These incense sticks actually smells very pleasant as well with citrus scent and each one will last for about an hour. We have electric bug zappers but these are great for outdoors when electricity is not available. It's also much more portable and to pack compared to electric zappers, not to mention more pleasant in smell and no need to hear zapping sound. It’s too cold for me to comment on how effective these sticks are at repelling mosquitos, but I was able to test how long the sticks burn. The stick I burned today lasted about 48 minutes, with 5 MPH winds. It’s possible that without any wind, the stick would have lasted an hour as advertised. Unburned, I can smell the citronella and rosemary. When burning they smell like the mosquito coils that I’m used to using when I go camping, so I’m hoping these sticks are as effective as the coils. I’m heading out for a 6 week road trip where I’ll be camping in various places out west. I’m taking these with me and if they don’t work, I’ll update my review. Please note that the part of the stick that goes into the ground is very thin. I broke the first stick as I pushed it into the ground (the ground in my front yard garden is not that hard). For the second stick, I dug a small hole first before placing the incense stick into the ground. I'd prefer that they make the stick thicker. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. What I love most about these incense sticks is their effectiveness. The citronella oil does an excellent job of deterring mosquitoes from buzzing around our patio, creating a much more enjoyable outdoor experience. Plus, I appreciate that they're safe for humans to inhale, so we can breathe easy while still keeping the bugs at bay. Each stick burns for about an hour or so, which is perfect for our evening gatherings. We simply light a few sticks before we head outside, and they provide continuous protection throughout the evening. And because they come in such a large quantity, we have more than enough to last us through the entire mosquito season. Not only are these incense sticks effective, but they're also incredibly affordable. With 120 sticks in the package, we've been able to enjoy mosquito-free evenings outdoors without breaking the bank.
