I love these as they are very efficient for catching fruit flies, gnats, and mosquitoes that happen to fly around in the house. They are small and easy to place inside my plant pots. I didn't notice any smell from the product. I do leave these until both sides are filled then replace it with new ones. Depending on the size of your plant and pot, I would suggest using 2+ of the traps on each side. Do keep in mind that if you have any low leaves, they may stick to these traps. These come with different shapes like flower Shapes and even butterflies shapes, they’re a bright Yellow and enough come in a pack. Unfortunately no stem to put them in the plants I luckily had popsicle sticks. Still these work it kill bugs, price is good it’s effective ,no smell and very sticky! The adhesive is so sticky you need to be careful the plants leave don’t come in contact or your hair or pet hair it becomes hard to separate and tears out leaves and hair ! I recommend these just wish they came with stems to easily stick in the potted soil otherwise get the popsicle sticks and staple before peeling. ... show more

First off I was very skeptical that this item would catch knats much less than anything else. When I water my plants I do see knats from time to time but they’re not swarming by any means. Anyway I thought I’d place an order and see how they worked. I ordered the bright yellow because I know bugs are attracted to bright colors. What I was really hoping to catch was mosquitos because as many times as they’ve taken chunks out of me, I should weigh close to nothing! I placed a couple in my plants but had a great idea to stick some in the corners of my windows. We have a boxer dog and no doggie door so we have to let her in/out all day and no matter how quick you are, mosquitos & flies always get into the house and this year they’ve been bad. These are not gooey like fly paper but stick like packing tape and there is no mess involved. You just peel the paper off and place where you want. The triangular part does not have sticky on it. I stuck them on the window frame in the windows that the flies gravitate to. OMGOSH, I couldn’t believe the number of flies that it attracted and were stuck to the paper. I hate to admit, it made my heart happy, like super happy! The ones I had placed in my plants had a couple of knats on them within a few days. Overall I’m very pleased with this product, works great, price is great, products does what it says, I would buy again and highly recommend to others. 2nd purchase because these sticky traps are GREAT in your windows! Also I can use it out side and inside by hand as well as poking it into the ground or a flowerpot in the house or outside. ...remember it is very sticky so hold it by the edges.
